I like to use visuals and demonstrations to deliver difficult concepts, while I favour inventive ways of memorizing important information, such as biochemical processes. I feel it’s important to enjoy learning for the sake of it, nurturing one’s curiosity, rather than being focused entirely on grades.

Teachers and tutors have to have an understanding of the student that they are to instruct. That's why I take an extensive approach to understanding who I am tutoring so I may provide them with the best possible experience.
I provide lessons to students from the secondary school to graduate level. My philosophy is simple. I believe any effective tutoring should explain even the most complex subjects in simple, understandable ways. Once difficult concepts have been explained in simple terms, a student will have the understanding and confidence to do well.
As a recent college graduate, I believe interactive learning is the best approach to understanding new subjects. Although I acknowledge the importance of lecture style teaching/ learning, this isn't necessarily always the best approach. Different students will have different learning style, and it is challenging to tailor to a student's individual need when teaching in a lecturing manner.
My approach to education is to understand the student's foundation and challenges as well as what motivates and interests them and then tailor lessons to be engaging while addressing their needs. I enjoy explaining complex knowledge in unique ways to overcome roadblocks in a student's understanding of the material.
College student studying Engineering in Pennsylvania, USA. Ideally focuses on teaching concepts to foster understanding, rather than examples to foster rote memorization. The younger a student learns how to process and solve problems, the easier and faster it will grow to be.
