In Tabimina, defense is priority. We are much quicker to react than to anticipate, so the training develops the student's reaction to an attack as opposed to anticipating. This is achieved by accessing "Zero Mind", a meditative state where the individual is able to respond appropriately to a perceived threat.
I base my teaching on learning the fundamentals, footwork, proper punching technique for all the punches. I teach defense through proper footwork, distance, blocking and slipping punches. I am patient, and commutative with every student, answering any question they have.
My methods are visual for the most part. I find that's the easiest way to teach this sport. Then I watch your form and understanding and help fix any parts that may need correcting.
You can also achieve this too with my lessons if you just give them a chance. I do not work out of a study so i will come to your location and we may train in a park space of wherever you feel most comfortable to train that has sufficient enough space to move and train in. all you need to wear is your sweats and sweater or T-shirt to train in.
Hello everyone I am a 17 year veteran of the amateur boxing world. I have competed in State, Regional, National and Olympic Trials Championships. I Have also been a member of the All Army and Armed Forces Boxing teams where I was a 3 time Gold Medalist in each team. I was also a Bronze Medalist at the USA National Championships in 2009 and 2013.

As boxing require a minimum of strength and conditioning, I divide my lessons in 2 parts : a fitness part, focusing on developing the physical condition of my students, and a technical part, in which we'll work on developing the student's boxing abilities.
In my kids classes, I try to make the sessions fun by martial arts themed games which require the students to be active and use their initiatives. I also add a small element of conditioning so that the students' fitness increases session by session.
For fitness, weight loss / gain, improved cardio fitness or flexibility, I integrate several disciplines in the proposed sessions, including: + Boxing & cardio-coxing + Running + Bodybuilding ( with or without material) + Stretching, yoga & relaxing techniques + And many fun activities! I favor outdoor work, although I can adapt indoor training with machines.
