I graduated from Oklahoma City University with a degree in cell and molecular biology and a minor in chemistry in 2015. I then was accepted as a direct admit into OU's neuroscience PhD program, where I worked for a year before moving to Fort Worth, Tx.
I attended Northern Oklahoma College in Aug of 03 and graduated with an associates degree in Elementary education May of 05. I attended Northwestern Oklahoma State university in Aug of 05 and graduated with a bachelor degree in elementary education in Dec 08.
My teaching method is reflective of my student's learning style. Some are more auditory and some prefer a more visual approach. Personally, I learn by implementing a combination of both so I am able to teach either ways or both. Also, I believe in repetition and nailing the basics.
I prefer to ask open ended questions, which are questions that elicit a response from the student. Then I will ask the student to "teach back", which demonstrates understanding of the concept discussed.
Organic chemistry is a very tough subject for most students. To learn it in very short time, I will help you get the secret of organic chemistry. It is very critical to utilize the definition and basic rule to solve organic chemistry.
My teaching method is student centered and I use evidence based strategies, also ask questions to check student's understanding regarding content .
Master of Education specialization in mathematics and physics I have a huge teaching experience the subjects like mathematics and physics .
I am a college graduate that tutors many levels of understanding in chemistry such as organic chemistry and general chemistry. I work with different levels of learning styles and personalities to help create a personalized development plan to meet the needs of the student. We then will work together to bring you to the level of understanding that you will need to be proficient in the subject.
I like to adapt to the level of my students whether they're in elementary school or college students. I consider each individual unique with respect to capabilities, and ability of comprehension. Thus, I strive to adapt to different students as shown in my tutor experience to a blind student and to various chemistry students on a college level.
To the best of my ability, I try to be as approachable as possible. We've all had teachers that we felt like we couldn't ask questions, and I strive to be the opposite of that. The whole point of me teaching, is to help you.
I am a college student at TCC currently undecided in my major but I love the sciences, I have exceeded in my biology and chemistry classes. I have a passion to learn and be successful. I wasn't to gain teaching experiences by sharing my knowledge and helping others be successful in their course.
I structure my methods around the student; first I get to know what they’re interests and goals are, then I give a brief series of questions to determine where they are at in their education.
I believe everyone is super intelligent, it all depends on how much effort you are willing to put in and your level of confidence, so I teach from a more practical approach and also mentor and build that confidence in my students.
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry. My characteristics as a teacher include patience, follow-through, and resilience. I make sure that I do not leave any stone unturned when it comes to teaching my students. I have the most experience teaching 7th and 8th graders and have taught one high school student so far; therefore I can also teach high school students.
I have usually taught students my own age, and I have learned that the most effective way to teach is to make sure the concepts are completely understood before even attempting to solve problems or examples.
My method for teaching chemistry is to help student practicing a lot of problems pertaining to a certain concept and using both the combination of rote learning and critical thinking to solve it. One of my main methodology for teaching is reinforcement. I believe the reinforcing materiel helps us keep the information we gain for a longer period of time.
My name is Sujata, and my name is Susie. I begin to bring over 20 years ago as a teenager primarily to teenagers and adults trying to score really well on standardized tests to either get into undergraduate or graduate level programs. Over that time I also worked with students on essays for high school and college level classes, college application essays and also English assignments.
I am someone who likes to learn and , in turn, I like to work with students who want to learn and improve their understanding of science and math. Together , we find a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere in which to sit down and discuss the subject at hand, then we take our time going over problems and concepts of current interest.
Named a Distinguished College Scholar at the University of Texas at Austin, I am a rising senior who is double majoring in biochemistry and psychology. As someone who has also conducted extensive scientific research, I have developed a strong background in math and science. I am excited to teach anyone interested in any field within biology or chemistry.
College graduate (B.S. in Biology) with a background in medical research and cellular/molecular biology. Happy to offer career guidance for anyone looking for a position in a science field or professional school (medical/dental/etc.) I'm used to teaching with just a whiteboard, but we can work with technology or pen and paper just fine.
My methodology would largely depend on what the student needs or has time for. I have the ability to give brief lectures or create worksheets if needed, but can also simply go into further depth on materials provided in the student's classes as well.
Master Degreed Chemist/Physicist with 30 years of practical experience in Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Fiber Optics, Telecommunications, Project and Product Management. The last twelve years, I have employed skills in private academies teaching Chemistry, Physics, Algebra, Calculus, etc.
