I like to approach tutoring sessions by knowing not only what the topics are but also with what specifically the student is struggling. Each student is different with different needs and I like to tailor my approach to meet those needs. I also regularly ask students for feedback on how I can better help them reach their goals.
I work with students at all levels and teach based on their preferred methods of learning. I am patient, caring, and flexible with my teaching style. I have experience tutoring English, History, Spanish, and science courses including biology and chemistry.
My teaching method is to converse through a problem and provide hints or tips along the way such that a student can reach a conclusion for themselves. I like to review concepts from previous lessons and summarize teaching points along the way during a lesson.
My teaching method is adaptive. I assess what my tutee’s learning style is and base my lessons/presentations around that. I prefer a very immersive, practical example approach and try to use as many visual cues as possible.
In the past when I have tutored students in College or High School we focus on problem areas and work on strengthening them. When I worked as a teaching assistant, I would prepare practice material for the student to work on.
I love helping students learn and really understand the material. I make analogies and relate concepts to everyday life whenever possible. I have a sense of humor and always try to make learning fun. I love working one-on-one with students because I can see what concepts/topics are not understood and help build a strong foundation before moving on to harder topics.
I am able to give lessons to people at all levels and have a specialty in geology and earth sciences. I recognize the difficulties that can arise from learning new material and can breakdown topics in a meaningful and easy to understand manner.
I graduated from Cornell University 2017 with a BS in Biological Sciences. My concentration was in Neurobiology & Behavior, and I also received a Music Minor. I am currently applying to medical school while working in Philadelphia. I want to gain more experience in a medical setting, and teach students who are interested or need help with the sciences.
Obtained a bachelors of science degree in Biology/Genetics from The Pennsylvania State university in 2014. 3.6 GPA I was very successful with assisting my peers with understanding material such as electives and major requirements by hosting group study sessions.
As a college student, I am willing to tutor other students in college, or those that are still in high school! I would love to help anyone with an interest in science and math who is willing to continue learning and improving in their classes.
Teachers and tutors have to have an understanding of the student that they are to instruct. That's why I take an extensive approach to understanding who I am tutoring so I may provide them with the best possible experience.
I would like to make personal supporting materials of the subject you might want to learn or submit for homework. I am not giving you answers first, but I will guide students to learn and fully understand the material and then try to solve problems together.
My teaching method is very simple...my lecture is totaly on slybus.my teaching method is very humble.
I'm a college student in STEM field gives Math and Chemistry lesons by tutoring one on one or group settings. My lesson will depend on how strong your foundation is, and we will build over again to make sure you comfortably understand all Mathematical concepts.
I love the flip classroom. Students are given the required reading and topic, they are expected to review same before coming to class. If they do, the classroom now becomes a place for more engagement where we discuss content like a roundtable platform. Students misconceptions are clarified during these discussions.
The best way to succeed in chemistry is by completing practice problems. I will provide students with problems, practice exams, thorough explanations of key concepts, and shortcuts to getting the answer quickly on exams. I have an Associate's degree from Delaware County Community College. I am currently finishing my Bachelor's at West Chester University.
I am a retired chemist. I conduct sessions for high school and college students in general and organic chemistry and Algebra 1 & 2 and college algebra. I teach students to recognize patterns and methods, not memorize the way to answer problems. This prepares them for exams and standardized testing.
Before I do anything, I ask the pupil a lot of questions about how they would solve a problem and why. I believe that allowing a student to work through a problem and explain what they understand helps solidify techniques. I've found that students are often surprised about what they actually know about problem solving and can often figure the problem out by themselves.
have demonstrated competency in the educational environment with strong classroom management skills which help ensure harmonious flow of discussion. A highly motivated self-starter with a passion for teaching, I have the ability to integrate and work well as a part of an interdisciplinary team.

I am a very patient and easy going teacher who is happy to walk you through any confusion or questions. No matter how old you are or how much help you need, I am sure that I can help you master your toughest subject.
I enjoy teaching different levels of engineering and scientific courses to students currently enrolled in an engineering program. I structure my lessons around the individual to see where they struggle and create clear steps to follow so that they may overcome the more challenging topics.
I am a recent graduate with a Bachelor's of Science in Biology degree. I have taken many science courses and can give lessons in general biology, cellular molecular biology, genetics, ecology, botany, anatomy, and chemistry. I am also familiar with equine studies, human health and performance, psychology, English, and writing/editing.
I hold the following degrees from the named institution along with the date I received it: Master's in Education, Arcadia University, 2002 Master's in Biomedical Engineering, 1987, Drexel University Bachelor of Science Biology and Chemistry, 1982, Arcadia University I have also received training in "Technology in Education" and best practices as part of the professional development programs...
I have almost completed my BS in biochemistry. When tutoring I start off my sessions by answering any questions my tutee has. If there are no questions I will use the textbook or will create practice problems and questions myself to make sure my tutee has a full understanding of the content.
My methodology involves fostering an environment which encourages each student to be an independent learner. My goal is to guide you to the point where you no longer need me. I'll know I've succeeded as soon as I'm out of a job. I specialize in math (algebra 1 & 2, geometry, and trigonometry), SAT math, chemistry (high school, AP, IB, college), and biology.
I have two masters degree in Medical Biochemistry (from a medical school outside of US) and Biological Science, Plant and environmental Science program from Clemson University, SC. I have more than two years of acitve teaching experience and more than 3 yeras of tutoring experience.
I have been a General Chemistry and Advanced Placement Chemistry teacher since Autumn of 2007. I enjoy teaching and have made it a point to know and understand my students, and in doing so, I have helped connect Chemistry to their own lives.
