My teaching method depends on the student. Based on the student's need, my approach can be very hands on to remote sessions, or a combination. Lessons focus on underlying principles and use of homework and problem sets to clarify and illustrate these principles.
As a retired professional engineer and mathematician, I am offering science, mathematics and logic tutoring and lessons to students at levels from middle school through university undergraduates. My teaching method is example based.
My methodology for teaching is entirely dependent on the student that I am working. For some, this is me having a structured lecture-style session with practice problems throughout the session. For others, it is working through homework they did not understand. For all of my students, I take feedback and approach the session that is most beneficial for them.

Analogies and simplifications are great methods of helping students understand the thought process behind these concepts so they can properly comprehend it. But above all else brevity in terms of content to make it easier on students.
My teaching methodology is, begin with the introduction without books, watch relevant videos and explore the topic and practice questions after that. Understanding the concept is very important. Also, quizzes and short review tests are very important to check the understanding.
I approach each topic by tackling the basics first - making sure that every student has a conceptual and foundational understanding of each topic before starting. I usually then proceed with practice problems for further comprehension of students' knowledge. As a tutor, I am very patient, friendly, and empathetic.
