My teaching method is interactive and hands-on/demonstration based. I like to have my students perform the examples/exercises as practice after I explain and demonstrate. I believe the best way to learn is by physically doing it so you can understand how it feels and your body can get used to the exercise. I approach each topic in a logical sequence.
I am very passionate about helping others. Because of my experience in the fitness and running, I put a lot of effort and time helping each individual achieve their goal. I believe in a holistic way of coaching, therefore, in my lesson plans... stretching, drills, core, leg workout, nutrition are all included.

I tailor my approach to each runner, even while coaching groups. I start off with easier lessons and increase the difficulty as the runners abilities increase. While coaching a runner for a particular race I focus on the techniques required for that race. For all my runners I focus on form and teach warm up drills and stretches.

After an initial conversation and information gathering session to assess your level of fitness, running history, availability for training and goals, I put together a weekly training plan. The plan is available in an online training platform which is free for you to access and have a beautiful smartphone app which sync with your GPS watch and you can use to add comments to every session.

My teaching method would be structured around what distance/s my students are interested in. I have many different training sessions that would be completed in a rotation system, modified by preference and performance. I would like my students to have fun, and from this succeed their goals.
This course I would like to take it in a theoretical-practical way; since it is an aspect that requires not only practice; if not of constancy and a structured planning to achieve the objectives of higher level of demand. It is this aspect I like to take the body to the current limit to achieve progress; and give the theory so that it is recorded and can be applied as required.
My coaching methods are to listen to what the athlete wants to accomplish and where they want to be and put them in a position to achieve that. I have learned many of my drills from my former coaches, which include several team Canada coaches.
I have experience running marathons and ultras, willing to provide coaching and advice on training plans, nutrition, motivation etc towards either a specific race or more general aims. Depending on distance/speed goals would be willing to accompany on training runs/design and oversee sprint sessions. Generally am upbeat but focussed.
