My plan is to have no plan! While there are tips and tricks that apply to everyone, I want to personalize our time together and figure out how to best help you achieve your illustration goals.
Classic Masters, nature, comics, media, books, literature, study from life, intensive self developed classes.
I teach learners of all ages from K - Adult. My strongest area is reading/ writing and I have 20 years experience. I have a master's in reading instruction and am a certified reading specialist. I also have a degree in special education, concentrating on students with autism and ADHD. I have over 25 years experience in these areas.
My teaching method is completely student-oriented I can teach a broad overview of many different media depending on the student's interest, or just focus on a specific subject that the student would like to learn more about. Because art is a subject that everyone can learn and there is no right or wrong I leave it up to the students so they can get the most out of my lessons.
I use various painting mediums but mostlt avrylic and water colors. I provide a strong foundation in drawing. Classes would be for 60 to 90 minutes. I teach primary and secondary school age student but also high school and adults.
I use both verbal and visual teaching methods. I am very flexible with teaching styles and am willing to cater to different individual's preferred learning methods. I teach undergraduate students as well as students still in grade school. I am here to help you learn not memorize. I take the necessary time to show how to execute valuable techniques and show proper implementations.
I give drawing lessons to beginner artists! I teach the basics of shapes and shading while also providing information about anatomy to create a more realistic rendering. I like to being with drawing from life because it allows the student to worry less about coming up with a fantastic drawing idea and allows them to learn and really understand the physicality of the subject.
Graduated high school with honor cords as Vice President of National Honor Society, currently attending college. Characteristics consist of being open minded, free spirited, curious, entertaining, and chatty. Depending on students’ self-discipline, overall lesson structure may be lose or strict.
We would begin by finding out where you are as an artist, And what you want the lessons for.
My teaching philosophy is that every student learns differently and has different needs. I don't believe in a one size fits all teaching method. I asses each student and create a lesson plan based on their needs and the subject matter being taught.
My methodology is first establishing what the student wants to learn. I think it's important to also first put art in its context of culture and society by discussing "what is art?" This helps the student first understand if there is anything beyond a technical skill that he/she wants to achieve.
I would approach my classes based on which subject in art it is that I am teaching since each medium has a different set of basic skills to build upon. For any of them I would start with a simple mark making and from there dive into the basic elements of that medium so that people of all skill levels would have room to grow when teaching simple or more difficult tasks.
I first discuss with the student what they want to get out of the lessons. Each student is different, but my focus is on specific techniques, such as how to get a likeness, what features to look for in a subject, and different ways to draw those features.
I base my classes on what I have learned and what I have taught myself throughout the years.
I'm a laid back instructor who loves to help beginning artists build confidence in art step by step. We would start out with a basic foundation of drawing basic shapes, shading and skeletal line drawing for the human figure. With painting we would first by learning to mixing colors, then coloring basic shapes with various brush techniques.
In the past when I have been asked to show somebody how to execute a certain technique, I always go ahead and demonstrate visually, and explain my process or way of thinking as I am doing this.
I enjoy teaching students, focusing on creativity first and technique second. While technique is an important part in my lessons my focus is to not let it snuff out my students ability to creatively problem solve. Creative problem solving is the core to the art field and will take the student further no matter their skill level.
I have one year experience in teaching kids on watercolor, mixed media, comics, and basic drawing & painting. I try to come up with fun and weekly projects and activities that students will learn and enjoy. I am interested in teaching teen~adult for especially watercolor, comics and zines.
My teaching method is to instill in the minds of my students that they can do anything they put their mind to. I achieve this by showing my students simple breakdowns of a drawing before showing them the final product. This will reassure my students that the project isn't as difficult as it appears to be. Such is life.
I believe in the personal unique artistic voice of each student developed through technical mastery and work. Although each student has a different skill set and level, each student can harness their creativity through their own personal experience.
My teaching method is principle based. Starting with fundamental art skills to build on for beginners. Then step by step I teach students to add more understanding for each level throughout each step. For intermediate and advance artists, I apply methods for maturing skills into focus and vision for more clarity in art.
My teaching method is to help children find their artistic voice from different mediums of art. Experimenting is my main focus, experimenting is central to the arts, and is frequently used in making connections between the concrete and the abstract.
I can be hyper involved when I need to be, but I believe its important to step back and guide through mistakes. I've learned through experience that its important to know when to step back, for a more productive lesson.
I am a part-time college instructor and also a personal tutor, teaching the subjects listed above for many years. In college I have regular different levels classes, from studio to web design, with specific curriculum. As a personal tutor, I adapt my methods specifically to an individual, his/her age, abilities, interests, etc.
I adored art in school, taking three classes my senior year participating in two advanced art classes and one Student-Teacher class! Art has always been a hobby for me and it comes naturally.
My teaching approach is very visual and adaptable. Just as every work of art is unique, so is the way we learn as individuals. There's value in repetitive teaching of fundamentals. Great artists always remind you: "Draw what you see.
I approach with a very fluid and focused eye, but with a loose spirit..and all the smiles. I acknowledge how I study every line and figure, and appreciate that I have my creativity. I believe in taking artwork slow and steady. Patience is key in truly cherishing your devoted work.
My art style is relaxed and aim toward someone who would like to have fun, learn about art/create a school project. Beginner would benefit most, as would those seeking a new hobby.
Well I am a very excited teacher hoping to teach arts and paintings to a wide verity of students,Depending on the age of the students I will be teaching. i will be starting out with variety of colors and paper to get started looking forward to teaching 1st and 2nd grade students.
