In regards to my methodology for language teaching, I enjoy applying principles of content-oriented teaching which are used in tandem with the direct method and other constructs of communicative language teaching styles (e.g. employing dialogues, role-play, and problem-solving tasks).
Mainly 1-2 hour lessons Objectives: Review vocabulary: parts of body, where to go to find something (type of store, where in store) Review grammar: command forms of verbs (“Take two aspirin every morning”) New vocabulary: ways to describe illness and methods of remedying it New grammar: giving advice “I would recommend” + [verb+ing] Activities: Introduction: quick review of parts
My teaching methodology is very student-friendly, will focus on their specific requirements, as I teach students to whom English is either a second or foreign language. Will help them to read, write and speak English language correctly in beginner or elementary level.
This would be extremely interactive and engaging. At the students pace however, still challenging the student to raise their level and abilities based on my analysis during each lesson.
My teaching method is based on communicative competence and on integrated learning and teaching. I believe in integrating vocabulary, grammar, reading and writing into my lessons, in relevant settings or units for my students. I am a communicator and have the ability to make sure my students understand and learn using only English and sometimes using role play, visual and audio props.
I'm a creative, ESL teacher who has taught students of all levels and ages from around the world. I have over 8 years experience and can create a lesson plan geared to your needs, to teach you what is important to you: business, grammar,conversation...
Teaching is a passion. Out of passion flows ideas and creativity. Out of passion flows the desire to impact and influence the lives of the students that we encounter and students who come across our paths. Out of passion flows the deep interest to dig out the skills and talents that lie beneath the core of the students.
I have worked in a primary school and work with 6th graders and have assisted them vocabulary development and English emersion.
My teaching method is the Present, Practice and Performance Method. (PPP) I use this method interchangeably so students practice learning English in these three ways. The Presentation, is of course, what they will learn; the Practice is practicing what we learned, and Performance is showing and understanding what we learn in each lesson.
My teaching method is all about active learning-- I make sure my students create knowledge by using the information and tools I give them to construct deeper meaning that is contextualized and meaningful for them, and that they can easily remember!
I base all my lessons on what the student wants to focus on and where the student is at. I teach with passion and patience for every student. I don't have a defined structure for my teaching approach because I find it varies for every person. Lessons will be extremely personalized.
I am a higher education professional and former high school French teacher with 5 years of classroom experiences. I am native English speaker. I have been giving private lessons in French, English, and other subjects since 2006. I have B.A. in French and a M.Ed. in Secondary Education. I have experience studying in both France and Senegal.
My teaching methods include chorale responses when learning new words. I use pictures, words, and a lot of repetition. I taught middle school age students English, Spanish, and ESL for most of my teaching career. I worked one year at a high school where I designed a class for students "At Risk of failing".
I base my classes on learner-based outcomes, which means I pay attention to the unique aspects of each class that I teach. I encourage discussion and peer-to-peer interaction and practice. That is the best way to understand and learn any language--practicing with those who understand what you are going through. I encourage students to not be afraid to make a mistake.
My teaching philosophy is patience, guidance, encouragement, and respect are the ways to achieve academic success. As an educator, my goal is to ensure that every student has a learning environment where they feel optimistic, enthusiastic and supported. Also, I believe in keeping each tutoring session professional and confidential with mutual respect and collaboration between tutor and the student.
My teaching methodology is inquiry based. As an educator I understand that the very root of the word education is 'educare' which means to bring up. So as an educator my approach is to provide instruction by asking questions that trigger curiousity and thinking about their own ideas, writing, and language acquisition.
I like to help students to feel comfortable in their learning environment by inviting them to participate in relatable discussion topics and collaborate with their peers. I also believe in using hands-on materials to contextualize the abstract nature of language.
I have a B.A. in French Literature from Loyola University of Chicago. I give lessons in English and French to middle school, high school and college level students. As for my methodology, I teach students proper pronunciation of words, correct grammar and correct sentence structure. I assist them in actually thinking in English and French.
I am an energetic and fun teacher with experience teaching kids up to adults in the UK and Spain. My style is engaging and focuses on making students learn whilst having fun. Depending on the level of the student, I can cater more interactive or more learning- based exercises through a variety of methodologies including music and poetry.

I earned a 1981 Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish from Salisbury University in Salisbury, Maryland. This included a language immersion program at Universitat de Valencia in Spain. I also took a 3-month Oxford Seminar course at John Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, in 2008 entitled "Teaching English to Speakers of Other Second Language/Teaching English as a Foreign Language".
I am a student myself, and in the past have given English lessons to university level students and to adults. I have taught A1 and B1 level English. My lessons consist of a warmup along with conversations and activities to get the student engaged and relaxed.
I'm a dedicated ESL instructor, though I do have experience in English/Language Arts, phonics, grammar, and composition. I work with children from the ages of 3 to 12, and make sure each class is fun, engaging, effective, and individualized for each student. I am comfortable in both a one-on-one or group setting.
Along with making an accurate diagnosis of my student's needs, followed by detailed planning on how to reach goals, I offer the following: 1. Detailed essay writing practice with in-depth details on APA/MLA formats for referencing, in-text citation, research, essay structures, grammar, organization, etc. 2. Most recent (actual) exams.
In my attempt to learn a second language I saw firsthand how difficult it is, especially at an adult age. This has shown me it is essential to not only include lessons for my English students, but also opportunities for social interaction to strengthen their speaking and listening skills. When I teach English I include exercises to build communicative competence, like games and role-playing.
When I teach I usually try and identify students' language preferences by determining their needs and address them. I select authentic texts and materials appropriate for specific level of learners. I design receptive and productive skills lessons. I prepare multi level activities for different learners using communicative as well as lexical approach.
I like to ask all types of questions to make students think, and I also love when students give me a million questions to try and answer. Questions are the key to learning. I like the setting to be open and relaxed so that we can all feel comfortable and learn.
I teach based off of what my students needs and interests are. I like to make learning a fun experience and not something to be dreaded. If they are looking for conversational English and you love music, let's chat about your favorite band and I will casually correct what needs to be corrected.
My teaching method is to engage students by finding out first what they would like to learn, what their interests are and then find out how to best accommodate and individualize the learning approach that will work best for them.
