I tailor fit my curriculum, choosing the best methods to fit each individual students strengths and weaknesses so that they can advance as quickly as possible in their playing and singing. I have found sticking with one methodology is like sticking with one composer. Can you learn? Yes.
Classic Masters, nature, comics, media, books, literature, study from life, intensive self developed classes.
I teach learners of all ages from K - Adult. My strongest area is reading/ writing and I have 20 years experience. I have a master's in reading instruction and am a certified reading specialist. I also have a degree in special education, concentrating on students with autism and ADHD. I have over 25 years experience in these areas.
I'm a well-known Cuban art critic, blogger, professor, editor and curator. I got a Philosophy Degree and Master in Art History by the University of Havana. I can teach people of all ages creative writing, Spanish pronunciation, how to organize an art exhibition, how to appreciate artworks and history as well as to the thinkers in the history of the humanity.
My lessons can stem from elementary level all the way to a 4-year degree level. My tools of trade involve Adobe Photoshop, and occasionally other programs. Traditionally, I'll use whatever medium is required. Technique and form is what I focus on while helping inspire others to explore their creative potential and discover just how unlimited their imagination is.
My lessons are custom tailored to the students needs and past experiences in painting. My lessons are geared for the excited beginner all the way up to a well seasoned painter. My style of art and what excites me about painting are things that influence my lessons. I specialize in realistic landscapes, trees, light and shadow. I focus on getting the foundation of a painting off to a solid start.
Went to Those Island School of Design and received a bachelor's in fine art Attended Medialle Collage and received a bachelor's I'm education Attended College of Notra Dame where I got a masters in special ed Attending Northcentral University where I am currently working on my doctorate. I have two degrees in studio art- a Bachelor's of fine Art and a Masters in Fine Art. I teach Costume Design, Drawing, Digital Photography, 2&3 Dimensional Design, Art Appreciation, 1850's to 21 st Century Art. I start with the formal elements of art and principles of Design and move into mixed-media experimentation.
I teach individual, one-on-one lessons which start with the foundations (light, color, shading) and advance in the direction the student is interested in. Some of my specialties are pen and marker, graphite, portraiture, cartooning, and watercolor pencil. Some students may wish to develop a portfolio, in which case I can offer critique as well as instruction.
I use both verbal and visual teaching methods. I am very flexible with teaching styles and am willing to cater to different individual's preferred learning methods. I teach undergraduate students as well as students still in grade school. I am here to help you learn not memorize. I take the necessary time to show how to execute valuable techniques and show proper implementations.
Graduated in 2017 from the Moore College of Art and Design with a degree in Art Education. Graduated 2014 from DCAD with a degree in fine arts. Also studied (various subjects) for a year at SCAD. Both formally and informally I have also studied drawing, painting, sculpture (mostly welding and clay), Art history, fashion, art philosophy, and much more.
I am a self & University taught in arts & studied many different mediums, but I gravitate towards the more craftier or folksy side of the arts spectrum I would say. I can teach just about any media or medium a student is interested in at any level in art, but my personal style is more in the abstract range.
Given the endless possibilities with art, I will work one-on-one with students. Based on their needs and desires, tutoring may consist of the following: feedback/critique, recommendations, resources, explanations of methods concerning specific concepts, etc. For example, if a student needs assistance in building a portfolio for art school I would go over their current body of work.
I like to taylor my curriculum to my student. It's important to establish a baseline which is accomplished through a few basic exercises. For the novice student I would begin with lecture, using examples of great art and fun exercises, teach the fundamentals; color theory, composition, elements and principles of design.
I give painting lessons to all levels of artists alike. It helps to have previous experience with acrylic paint but it's not completely necessary. I have been mentored from esteemed Chicago artists, Anna Kunz, and Fidel Rodriguez, that have shown me professional tricks and ways of thinking about paintings mediums that will expand your artistic capabilities beyond what you are doing now.
We would begin by finding out where you are as an artist, And what you want the lessons for.
My teaching philosophy is that every student learns differently and has different needs. I don't believe in a one size fits all teaching method. I asses each student and create a lesson plan based on their needs and the subject matter being taught.
I believe in the personal unique artistic voice of each student developed through technical mastery and work. Although each student has a different skill set and level, each student can harness their creativity through their own personal experience.
My teaching method is principle based. Starting with fundamental art skills to build on for beginners. Then step by step I teach students to add more understanding for each level throughout each step. For intermediate and advance artists, I apply methods for maturing skills into focus and vision for more clarity in art.
My teaching method is first having students look at different types of calligraphy pieces and fonts then picking a basic pre-gothic font then working towards that. They will learn to illuminate their works and discern what type of illumination works best for their piece. My focus is primarily medieval Roman Catholic illuminations but other areas will be focused on as well.
As mentioned, I am an animation major and I am in turn an animated person. I take a hands on approach in my teaching, if I have to I will make funny poses or act things out to describe how to do something. I would love to teach anyone from a novice to intermediate level artists who are eager to learn more and passionate about creativity as much as me.
Dependent on skill levels certain materials can be chosen to initiate a work, whether it be for a sculptural piece using stone, ceramic, wood, or metal. An initial assignment to test the individuals capabilities would be to construct an emotional value (ex: anger , justification, embarrassed , etc.
By listening and understanding who the would-be author is and the type of book they want to write, Mr. Brede provides guidance and encouragement. After the author is satisfied with their manuscript the book can be published on Amazon but no marketing or promotion is provided.

I believe strongly that often our drawings do not turn out the way we want because we are drawing based on our mental perception of what something SHOULD look like, but not what it actually looks like.
I enjoy teaching children and young teens/adults the basic and high level skills of different art forms in a free flowing atmosphere. I enjoy letting people create and learn at there own pace, with the help from a teacher or other students.
My teaching method is planning lessons step by step using brainstorming as a thinking strategy to help students generate creative ideas and what they want to learn. Also my method related to the art therapy - the essence of which helps to unleash creativity of an individual.
