I believe that the student is the one that should be the one to direct the learning. I teach alongside the student and base our lessons upon their interests. There are different techniques used depending on the topic being discussed.
I do one on one time with my student to make sure they know what they need to in order to be successful in what they are trying to accomplish.
My teaching method is based on the learning style of students (audio, visual, kinetic). Hands-on, questions and safe space learning.
It is essential for student learning to provide lessons are student-led. Engaging and relative lessons provided to students for hands-on learning and sharing with peers, is key to optimum learning. Structured expectations help students be successful.

My teaching methods are plain, to the point, practical, and honest. Having been a tutor for developmentally challenged adults years ago, I love teaching, and incorporate humor in my classroom. Humor helps the student to learn and retain the information taught, as well as provides a calm, relaxing, inviting atmosphere which maintains interest in the subject I am teaching.
I prefer board work and audio visual teaching. At first I will make the picture clear about the content and then discuss about the topic with the help of ppt or board according to the necessity.
Practical is best although talking over the internet is an option. On site, in pupils own gardens. Teaching in a practical manner the contents of people's garden and tips/ techniques to deal with and enhance what you have. Mainly concentrating on the maintenance but also touching on landscaping projects as well.
I approach the skill of gardening by doing as much as I possibly can by myself. I teach the skill of gardening by sharing my own experiences and adapting it to better fit another person's environment or skill level. Gardening is something you have to physically do to get better at it - I can only lay the groundwork for you.
Lessons can be conducted at one of two locations: Home Visits: This way lessons can be tailored to your own requirements and any practical work done will be on your own garden or allotment. Together we can design and implement a system that works for you to produce the food you want to.
My classes have a theoretical base and are supported by audiovisual teaching materials, accompanied by recommended readings so that the student can deepen and expand their knowledge areas at their own pace. The practice is fundamental to learn the art of care and reproduction of plants. There are two options for practicing in the garden.
