I'm teaching since 10 years now. I give lessons to undergraduates & graduate university students. I base my lessons on curriculum, syllabus & published current research articles. I use video, power-point slides, online materials, journal group discussion related to syllabus, quiz & games mode of studying.
I received my BA in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge, UK and my PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Cambridge. During my education I studied a range of sciences including Math, Biology, Chemistry, Genetics, Physiology, Anatomy, Cell Biology and neurobiology. I currently teach students for AP Biology, Chemistry and Psychology 1-to-1.
Current medical student, near completion of my medical degree at MUSC and on my way to becoming a surgeon. Completed my BS in Biology at Furman University in Greenville, SC while on scholarship. I use problem solving as my preferred method of teaching. This way it becomes an interactive session for student and tutor.
My teaching method is hands-on. I encourage students to discuss the content so that they can remember it easier. I also enjoy playing quiz games (like Kahoot!) to see how much you've learned. I use Zoom as a teaching platform which allows complete interaction with students.
After high school I enrolled myself into a medical college. Biology was always an important subject foe me as I always had an inclination towards the Medical and Health Sciences field. I enjoy teaching in my off time and also get to know people.
i have been a visual learner with a short attention span, so when i started tutoring i made sure to keep it short, fun to study and very visual. i mostly tutor premed or highschool students but younger students are fun to work with as well.
My goal is not just to help students with specific subject help, but to teach students how to approach their studies in a way that is more effective. I hope to that with each lesson, my students feel more confident in their abilities to not only tackle current hurdles but take on future ones.
I am currently a sophomore at Boise State University studying Human Biology. I have a 3.8 GPA and currently remain on the Dean's list. I am willing to give lessons to anyone in elementary school, middle school, high school, and first year college students. As a tutor, I will be very patient and understanding with my students.
I have the ability to explain concepts in a number of different ways depending on the needs of my students. After 8 years of teaching I have come across many different students and taught to a variety of different ability levels (from special education to honors). At my disposal I have visual aids, power points, analogies, worksheets, and mnemonic devices.
My teaching methodology is whatever works best for the students! I create an initial framework to start with and then adapt and amend this to help suit the students' learning needs. I am happy to create a variety of different assignments to help students progress through their learning, and like to set mini-goals along the way to help motivate my students.
I like mindmaps, flashcards, analogies, I often use diagrams in my own notes and like to write summaries on the topics I’m learning, memory training, bullet points, google slides, working with apps, brainstorming, open-ended questions, discussions, YouTube videos
I'm a recent Biology graduate looking to give lessons in all of the middle and high school sciences and undergraduate collegiate biology coursework. My methods mainly consist of guiding the thought train through relevant material and solidifying concepts to help students reach their capstone potential.
I am a biological scientist who give lessons to high schools and lab technicians. My teaching methodology is lecture based as well as tutorial instruction (Personalized tutorial), whereby an individual student is helped to strengthen what he/she doesn't understand. I also include study assignment method, which I believe help a student to keep studying for more understanding.
I am a former high school biology teacher who has taught SOL material. I know how challenging it can be, so I am here to help. I can break down difficult concepts for you in a way that you can grasp, using various methods to teach you, such as hands on activities, lab experiments, videos, or on location learning.
I believe in hands on learning. I was a high school biology teacher in Texas this past year and now I am working in a research lab at OU studying the genetics of ancient diseases. I always try to make learning fun and relevant to you so that you are excited about the material.
I feel I can explain and teach anywhere from the high school level up to undergraduate in college. I have performed a number of cell biology experiments and techniques, so I should be able to help explain biology questions from a more applied standpoint.
I make sure above all that what I am teaching is both clear and simple, no matter how complex the subject may be! I like to make things fun so that each lecture is unique and never boring.
I tutor in general biology, cell and molecular biology, genetics, and college prep. I tutor the way I learn best, acting as a resource to allow my students to apply the knowledge they have while facilitating growth. I am understanding of frustrations in learning hard sciences (I had more than a few myself) and am always willing to cater to the needs of the individual.
I have a lot of knowledge of biology, math and coding and would be ready to help someone who wants additional guidance in one or more of these areas. I would mostly focus on going over material the person finds confusing and help them work through it. For the subject of coding, if they are a beginner I would first explain the concepts and then move onto practice examples.
I am a public high school life science educator. I have been teaching for the last 11 years and tutoring for over 15 years. I have taught well over 2,000 students in my classroom and tutored hundreds of students over the years.
I am interested in applying for this position to tutor kids . I am currently teaching Science in North Middle school , Aurora. I have student teaching experience on the third- fourth-, and sixth-grade level, in both suburban and urban school districts. I have extensive tutoring experience in a variety of fields. I have tutored in subjects like science for children of all ages .
My name is Priya and I am currently finish up on my PhD from UMass Medical School. I graduated with Honors in Biology from Mount Holyoke College in 2009. I have been teaching and mentoring since 2008 and more recently I have an Adjunct Position at Becker College teaching Anatomy and Physiology.
I am a teacher for college level courses in Biology and Microbiology. I have taught undergraduate courses in Community Colleges and Universities. Presently, I also teach high school Environmental Science and Scientific Research. I use several different ways of teaching content depending on learner types that I understand through a survey.
I am an AR student graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Biology and minor in Chemistry. I have mastered courses such as Biology, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physics, Calculus, Advanced Biology such as Cell Biology & Genetics, and various upper level Chemistry. I love to assess the way the student learns best, and then go from there.
I recently received my PhD in Neuroscience from UC Berkeley. Almost everyday during my 10+ years of laboratory research I’ve had to confront and understand difficult concepts. I’ve developed techniques for understanding these concepts quickly and I have a passion for teaching chemistry and biology theories to others.
I use inquiry techniques to help students learn science concepts in their own way. Of course, content is important, but students of today will be exposed to new knowledge that will replace what we think is fact. Students must learn how best to learn and discover these new topics.
am a science educator and I specialize in elementary, high school, undergraduate and graduate level science courses such as Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Psychology, Organic Chemistry and Physics. I have tutored vast amount of students from different academic levels and also have my teaching certification.
Received a Undergrad in Biology at University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Then received a Masters degree in Entomology at Louisiana State University. I have experiences in teaching every level of education and pride myself in being able to relate to the students and convey the information whatever way that optimizes there learning.
I am a cancer researcher. I have hands-on experience in various fields of biological sciences, and I try to convey this experience to my students using real-life examples that students can relate to. This makes learning more relatable and enjoyable.
Bachelor of Science major in Biology and minor in Philosophy. I do not feed answers, rather I implore using brainpower to arrive at the correct solution in problem solving as well as tactics to handle future problems on your own.
