My main idea of teaching guitar and music is that is should be fun for the student learn, we can focus on specific songs, technique, chords, music theory, whatever you feel like doing during that class.
My characteristics as a guitar tutor is a professional experience sharer with passion, patience, and organized teaching structure. In individual class, I will firstly design personalized course based on the students' levels and goals. In group class, I will use group dynamics to promote the learning effects based also on the students' levels and goals.
I'm an adaptive teacher, whatever level my student's knowledge is in the given field, together we assess goals and tangible milestones and I put together a game plan specific to us. Each student is different, so that's how we approach every class.
Hey there! My name is Steve and I am the Lead Guitarist for rock band Lifehouse, 50% of the creative force behind the band Lost Beach and a freelance Producer/Mixer/Mastering Engineer.
I thoroughly enjoy teaching students of all ages because I can relate to students who are learning and trying to progress in their instrument as I can remember being in their position when I started learning music. Seeing students progress and improve as a result of helping them, I find to be one of the most rewarding aspects for me personally.
I approach teaching guitar by accommodating to the interests of the student. My goal is to help them develop their own style, be fearless in their expression, and instill dedication when they are rehearsing scales, chords, or writing and learning songs.
I like to base my classes on what my students want to learn. I like to start your first lesson by listening to you sing and seeing what I think you can benefit from working on, and then also going over your own musical goals and dreams. Then I go over what you hope to gain from these lessons.
Lessons are structured with a balance of theory, technique exercises, ear training, improvising, and learning songs, with a strong leaning on the student's preferred musical style. If a student should like to focus on any one of those areas in particular, I'm happy to accommodate! Both private and group lessons are available.
I have Master and Bachelor degrees in Music. I'm very patient and am committed to the student's goals. Even though we're working hard, we should be having fun. If you're a beginner or a hobbyist, I've got a lesson plan for you. If your goal is to be a professional musician, composer/writer. or performer. I've got a plan for you as well. I customize YOUR lessons to YOUR needs and learning style.
I approach each topic individually based on the student's experience and learning style. I've had some students get things quicker than others which is why I prefer to avoid group settings. I also prefer to work towards students interests. There's always a way to find rudimentary materials in things that are interesting as opposed to running boring drills.
My teaching style is largely built around the interests and learning style of the student. As a teacher, the best way to teach someone a new skill is to understand how they take in information and what inspires them. This way lessons feel personable and catered specifically to the student.
As a Music Esucation student and High School tutor, my teaching method is to build an open relationship with my students and to build the lessons based on what the student would like to learn using my 10 years experience as a rhythm guitarist.
I base my classes on a simple principle of teaching what the students want to learn and get them to be goals they desire.
My teaching methodology is the find what the student is interested in then help them dive deeper in it,dissect the structure, melody, harmony, rhythm & even the emotional/cultural impact of the selected song.
I teach an integrated curriculum, where students develop a holistic understanding of their topic or instrument: Mastery of musical language or instrumental practice will come from understanding the history, context, and relevance of each subject and idea.
I am a professional guitarist (Berklee graduate) who has toured all over world with different record label acts as well as with over 10 years of teaching experience. I give custom-based lessons based on each student's goals. My technique combines ear training exercises with technique and theory. Ages 7 and up.
I teach visually and interactively how to place fingers and the easiest transitions possible.
Do you wan't to learn how music works? If you find it unsufficient just to learn how to move your hands on the guitar and you want to know exactly what you're doing, I'm your man. I got my Master's on the High Conservatoire of Madrid, Spain (UE). I also performed in Europe and currently I make conferences about musicology. Now I want to go further and share my experience private online lessons.
I am a recent Musicians Institute graduate and I currently live in Hollywood, CA. In the beginning of my lesson, I will ask the student if they have any questions, and if they have any particular topic and or subject they want to learn. That will determine the course of the lesson, and I will answer their questions to the best of my ability so they understand it clearly.
I am a classically trained musician from Cal State University Northridge with experience in both classical and contemporary styles. I teach guitar to all ages and experience levels. I've worked with students interested in a wide range of genres from classical, folk, blues, rock, and metal. I also with students interested in learning advanced techniques for fingerstyle and shred guitar.
I teach all skill levels, and I cover a broad scope of disciplines, depending on the skill level of the student, from technique intensive guitar-specific things (basic technique to specialized, i.e. arpeggios, fingerstyle) to music theory application, songwriting/composition aid, improvisation, reading etc.
My teaching method is personalized for each student.
My teaching method is focused on the interests of the student. I build off a foundation of music reading, theory, and repertoire, but mold the curriculum around the musical inspirations of the student.
I teach to all ages and skill levels, and in every genre. My main strengths are in Rock, Fingerpicking and Country music, but I'm proficient in all other genres and styles, with the exception of flamenco. I can teach you to read sheet music, tablature, and/or the Nashville Number System.
I base my classes depending on the student needs and weaknesses. Usually start with some explanation/theory about a topic, and then I show how to apply that theory into real practice. I can teach any ages and levels as long as students are committed to learning and doing their best.
I have two degrees and one professional diploma in Music (Guitar, Composition, Orchestral Conducting), plus another college degree in Computer Science. Teaching since 1993 to students of different ages and levels, privately and at schools and universities. Serious students only.
