I always want to ask students what their goals are for learning an instrument. Whether that be learning new songs of music theory, I custom tailer lesson plans to ensure students will have a wide variety of abilities on their instrument.
I grew up in a family of teachers and one of the most important things I learned was that every student is different and therefore my teaching methods need to adapt to what is best for them, as opposed to expecting the student to fit a mold I have set for them.
I want my students to walk away from our lessons feeling inspired, so I like to build engaging lesson plans that are based around the individual student! The student's favorite music, level of ability, and goals all play an important role in this- Lessons are much more fun when you're learning music that you actually like!
Bachelor of Music Degree with Major in Performance at Berklee College of Music. Focus on Guitar. For the last 18 years, I've played guitar in all styles within popular music and have experience teaching them, as well as 1 year now also teaching classical guitar.
I develop each student's curriculum based on their unique goals. I always encourage an interdisciplinary course of study, as I've found that cross-training is the best way to improve as a musician. I am able to teach rock, metal, blues, funk, jazz, classical and everything in between. Additionally I can teach transcribing, composition and improvisation.
Students of mine have been as young as 4 to as old as 55. I believe each student requires a different approach to learning and I dedicate a lot of time to figuring out what works for and inspires each student. Alongside that I believe it’s very important to build a positive relationship with my students and be somewhat of a mentor to them, especially as students get older.
I would give lessons to any age, as long as they are beginners or intermediate. When teaching, I would teach some small things, then evaluate if they're naturally prone to learning. From then on, I move quickly, if the student is able to handle it.
I can teach many styles of guitar, but specialize in electric guitar, blues, rock, acoustic, folk and singer songwriter. I approach teaching by introducing concepts that are applicable to both guitar playing, as well as general music theory, then applying these concepts by learning real songs.
Available to teach students of all ages and levels of proficiency in guitar with the addition of music theory and production when desired. I want to teach students what THEY want to learn and always looking for the best personalized method for the individual. I am equally comfortable teaching on both ACOUSTIC and ELECTRIC guitar.
I believe that the environment and the way you teach and handle children has a great influence on what kind of people they become when they grow up. I believe that children learn best by copying adults and that it is therefore very important to not only say the right things, but to be a good role model.
I base my lessons on Improving technical skills guided with music my students actually like. I’m very focused on improvisation and harmony knowledge.

My lessons are focused solely on the goals and aspirations of my students. I build curriculums that are unique to each individual student in order to help them achieve these goals. In our lessons, we will cover all the areas that are essential to one's development as a musician including; music theory, ear training, rhythmic analysis, and technique.
The most important thing about learning a new instrument is that if you don't enjoy it, you won't be driven to play it. I start my lessons by making sure my students have an appreciation for the guitar. Then, I build my lessons around what the student most enjoys listening to or playing.
Hi Everyone. I'm a singer/songwriter/guitarist/pianist. If you're a beginner, advanced beginner or intermediate piano student, I would love to work with you. I also enjoy teaching beginner and intermediate guitar students. In addition to standard piano materials (John Thompson, Bastien, Hannon) your lessons will be supplemented by working on your own compositions.
I teach music reading and can teach all ages and skill levels. I primarily use method books but also use outside materials for enhanced learning. I have a Master's in Guitar Performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music and can teach guitar to children, all levels of classical guitar, and beginning acoustic guitar.
My teaching methods are geared towards individual experience. If you wish to learn specific songs, electric or acoustic, music theory, or to even compose your own pieces, I can help you! I shape each lesson by what you want to learn along with fundamental skills to help you practice on your own time.
I always try to help you achieve the goals that you have but I also try to point you towards the new direction, something that maybe you haven't even thought about yet but it will be helpful for you in the future. I also concentrate on a many aspects of music: reading skills, arranging, general music education (listening and discovering new music), ear-training, theory if wanted.
depending on the level the student is at, i will be going thought different things. will be utilizing internet to play solo over a background music or going through scales and arpeggios and share what i had to discover though my journey and encourage students to learn on their own while i feedback techniques and information that is hard to garner without personal training.
It is my belief that studying jazz teaches one how to not only play America's great art form, but also how to problem solve, work as a team, and develop confidence in oneself. Whether professional or a hobby.
My teaching method is customized for each student, catering to their specific interests and abilities. I teach for a wide variety of genres and ages.
My teaching method is staightfoward and simple, even if it is about something complicated. I try to focus on one thing at a time and not rush things.
My lessons are never preplanned and always tailored to the specific students needs. Our first lesson is usually to get to know the students abilities, interests, and goals and to create a lesson plan together that excites and motivates the student. I do not require students to learn to read music unless they're pursuing classical, jazz, or if they have a specific interest in doing so.
