I am patient, creative and friendly. Many of my students tell me that I explain concepts more effectively than their teachers. I am available weekdays or weekends, days or nights, throughout the entire year. In addition to teaching in person, I also use Skype, FaceTime, Google Hangouts, Appear.in, interactive whiteboards, attachments (PDF, Word, Excel), and Slack, a remote desktop program.
Passion for teaching statement Back in the years, when I started teaching my first students at secondary school level, I realise how passionate I was about teaching. In fact, I joined teaching at the age of eighteen after having earned a first Division at Cambridge Scholl Certificate and started teaching Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
I studied Chemical Engineering in Iran and then studied Project Manager in England. I was working in Chemical plants as process engineer also teaching chemical engineering courses at BIHE University. I have some private students and teach them mathematics in a way that they would love mathematics and get enough skills to solve problems by themselves.
I combine my theoretical knowledge of the relevant subject matter (Accounting, Management, Strategy, etc.) with my "real world" and "practical" personality, to deliver a lasting teaching message to my students. The goal is to make you "understand" rather than simply "remember long enough to pass the test".
My teaching methods have always been adjusted and are responsive to the needs of my students, because everyone learns differently. I like to use examples that illustrate and contextualize theoretical issues, preferably based on my own personal and professional experiences. Case studies are also useful tools.
I have learned that the first step to teaching is focusing on the needs of each learner. I strive to understand each student’s communication and learning styles, goals and interests, and limitations. I then interact with each student in a way that will make them most comfortable and receptive to the course material.
As an Adjunct Professor of the Gupta College of Business at the University of Dallas, I was committed in providing experiential learning opportunities in the Management courses. I believe it is the most effective means for enhancing student learning. I initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions to ensure students understand how to apply the concepts presented in class.
I use teaching different teaching resources: Power Point presentations, videos, quizzes, problems, cases, sample exams. The dedication before and after the session explains why my tutoring is different and effective. My professional experience allows me to give practical examples.
My teaching methods are very practical and easy to learn. I like firstly evaluate the level of comfort and knowledge of my student in the given subject and tailor my sessions in a way that would lead to realistic results. Throughout my professional career, I have learned to be flexible in how I teach my students. I am a good listener and an active learner.
I work with 7-9 graders specifically in teaching in the classroom, but have taught and tutored in English, Mathematics, and Economics to a wide age-range. Students love learning with me because I challenge them, and because I know how to teach and explain sometimes difficult topics (especially in a different culture) to help them understand things more clearly.
I approach and each topic based on student needs and understanding. We all learn differently and I have found that by first listening and learning, I can then begin a dialogue to help create the best environment necessary to create a positive and lasting learing experience.
My teaching method is dependent on the learner. Some people are more visual learners for example, in those cases I have visual aids and study techniques to help students retain more information. I took a study methods class at Stanford University, whose material I will often reference in order to help students retain more knowledge and study effectively.
Not only was I a teacher's aid and tutor while in college, I am now a substitute teacher at a local IN high school. While teaching and tutoring, I utilize both types of methodologies (i.e. teacher-centered approach and student-centered approach).
Inquisitive, collaborative, and flipped learning. Love to use multimedia and videos in the classroom for teaching. Encourage events and clasrooom discussions around material openly for students. Open to new ideas, processes, systems. Heavy focus on technology and the G Suiite products.
I provide advising to all levels, with particular efficacy working with complex and advanced issues and opportunity development. I provide one on one advising, executive briefings, and group seminars. Advising is fully customized and optimized for specific engagements.
I begin by seeing where your struggles are, first and foremost. In grasping things that you don't understand, and do understand, I'm able to discern what we need to focus on and what we can leave out.
I can teach elementary/middle/high school students as well as university scholars. I base my lessons on each student's individual needs and learning style. It is important not just to get the task completed, but to move forward with an understanding of the subject, and I teach accordingly.
EDUCATION Ph.D. in Organization and Management, 2005, GPA 3.8. Capella University, USA, is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission, and is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools Jack Welch Management Institute: Marketing in the Global Environment: 2013 Focus Social Media MBA, Athabasca University, 1999, GPA 4.0 / 4.0.
My teaching method is mainly online and involves communication via email, WhatsApp, or Wechat. I handle classes from high school to postgraduate levels. I am an exceptionally astute and feat oriented individual, with the propensity to help my students achieve the best grades.
I am very detail oriented and focus more on clarifying the basics. Once the basics are clear, you can be a master of any subject in no time. Lets start to learn together. If you are a good student, I am the best teacher.
I like to adapt the teaching methodologies to each student. Everyone has their pace. Focus on practical examples.
I want to help my students to according to their requirements , want to make them ready for academic and professional exams
I believe all students have their own unique way of learning, by encouraging them to ask questions I can gauge their learning style and customize my teaching to each students' ability. My motto; "No question is a "dumb" question.
I approach teaching as a dialogue. It is a give and take. Otherwise, how can you judge mastery of the concepts at hand? Also, a dialogue makes for a more interesting session for both teacher and student. Most importantly, in the business classes, I will teach you to apply theory to real life.
Depending on the subject and age group my approach changes. I tend to use visual aids, real life examples or references you’re familiar with for starters. I like to keep the class interactive and hands on. I also provide extra course material eg “cheat sheets”, extra practice sheets or guidelines. Some of my lessons are taped and can be watched again at home.
My teaching methodology right now is under construction as this is my first year teaching. If one on one I will ask what is my student's preferred method of teaching. If group based, it will be a matter of giving lectures and answering all questions so that students fully understand the subject matter.
I am comfortable in teaching on an individual basis as well as in group sessions. I like students to come prepared to class and be interactive with the teacher. I am a passionate speaker who will rely on a lot of practical business cases to illustrate theoretical concepts about economics, finance, and trade.
I prefer a student based teaching method. At the beginning of each course, I prefer to get to know the student, their academic goals, as well as their academic likes, dislikes, strengths, and weaknesses in order to proved the best, personalized attention possible. This way, each class or course is tailored to that student's specific needs and goals.
I am extremely patient after being a nanny (LOL), so I honestly don't believe any question is a dumb question. Economics is very hard and I want to help as many people as I can get a better grasp on the Economics intuition, graphs, and math so that they can do well in class as well as better their own personal spending habits, etc.
