Well, my teaching methodology is based on what the client needs and wants. Everyone learns different, so I have to see what approach works better with which student in respect of the student. I have different approaches for different people.
My teaching methodology is to engage students and let them see that learning is a fun process through the use of many different strategies. Every student is unique with unique strengths, I enjoy helping every student reach their fullest potential.
I believe in getting to know who I'm working with. I truly want my students to get a positive and rewarding experience where they walk away feeling accomplished. My style of teaching varies with each student depending on grade level and cognitive ability.
I follow the Common Core Standards. My effort is to increase a child's vocabulary by six to ten words per class. With true understanding and grasping the meaning of words, quickly sewn together become paragraphs and creativity. As an author, I understand the tools needed to write effectively. My approach is to encourage my students with smiles and care.
As someone who learned a language as an adult, I am very sensitive to the difficulties of learning English as a second language. There are many exceptions to rules, words adopted from other languages, and strange pronunciations. My methodology when teaching English is slow and steady. I also like to role play in certain situations so that my students can get a taste of real life.
I try to teach in the most efficient manner for the student. Each class is different and I will modify my teaching accordingly. I am a dedicated student and would like to teach my students how to become a dedicated efficient student themselves. This includes learning study tools that will help student excel in their studies.
I focus lessons around reading, writing, use of English, speaking, and listening. I believe the key to language proficiency is to speak, speak, speak. I create a lesson environment that encourages fun and interesting conversation and learning.
Hello all and thanks for stopping by to read this message! I teach private and non-private (semi-private to public) lessons to youth and young adults who are interested in improving their skills in the 4 core areas of the English language. I incorporate many of the CELTA teaching methodologies into my lessons and tailor my lesson aims to the needs and goals of my students.
My teaching method is focusing on the area that has the most struggle and improving it. Each student has a different personality and style of approach. Some will tend to like more fast-paced learning while others will prefer slow, either way, I like to accommodate each student to their own needs. I usually like to follow the curriculum that the given school has.
