I am a retired, still licensed teacher who loves to work with students from elementary to adult level. I try to always have a hands on activity to assist learning and maintain interest. Making students successful is my motivation.
I don't have a specific teaching methodology but I'd say if I could teach any way it would be the socratic method. Having a real live discussion or debate on topics and breaking down each side would be a good way to open kids up to writing.
My teaching method is giving constructive one on one feedback on projects, such as science projects and tech writing summaries. My teaching philosophy is a very simple and direct teaching method that I find most helpful to students and teacher alike.
My teaching method is tailored to the student. There are always a few questions that I will ask the student before starting because if they can self identify their own issues, then it will be easy for me to work on those, and then probably help them find and close other gaps in knowledge along the way. My strongest suits are essay and speech structure, and punctuation/grammar.
