My teaching method is based on an "I do, We do, You do", starting with a learning goal and objective that has a check for understanding. Then moving to the "I do" which typically involves a visual review and reminder to students that models and explains what we are working on. Then the "we do" moves into an engaging activity that involves the topic that we just went over.
I look to evaluate what topics need reinforcement the most and which of the details or finer points the student seems to be missing that is causing them difficulty. I then try to teach alternative methods or new ways to approach the problems as well as explain how they can use and understand the textbook and online resources while they are not working with me.
My style is student centered where they are encouraged to use their critical thinking skills to attempt the problem on their own first before asking for help. I help my students learn how to ask the right questions so that they can figure out future problems with less dependence and higher confidence.
I feel all individuals have the tools and mechanics to achieve. At times, it just takes specific individuals to assist in unlocking certain areas of the mind. "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.
My teaching method is clear and concise. The only way to excel at math is to practice different kinds of problems and build up both your speed and accuracy so I am someone who will help you figure out how to do these problems in the most time efficient way possible.
Whether there is teaching or problem solving ,I always want to know the depth of knowledge of student so that I can work in an efficient way,For this I ask some questions and students are free to answer them in any way. Also very flexible and can adapt new things faster.
I have extensive experience in the area of math teaching and tutoring and would love the opportunity to further this knowledge even more.
I explain things thoroughly, really listen to the difficulties students are having, and come up with creative strategies to help students learn. Doing as many practice problems as possible and thinking of real life applications for a given subject/topic has always helped me and anyone I've taught.
While I am most experienced tutoring college students, I am also available to tutor high school students. My teaching method focuses on guiding students to use the tools they have to solve the problems at hand. Success in mathematics requires discipline and genuine hard work. In classroom settings, I focus on call-and-response, and getting the class to solve problems, giving hints as needed.
I base my classes on the needs of the students. I have a passion for helping and educating the future. At the end of the day, the students' needs are the most important. I like to teach the topic/strategy and then make a real-world connection/example so students can connect to the new skill.
I have no unique approach to all students. My first session consists of 'getting know of each other' and 'determining the right approach'. Each student is different and I has different needs, so I always try to find the best 'teaching style' for each of them.
I approach each topic by mutual discussion between me and the learner. I believe in learning by doing and demonstration. I will begin my lesson by discussing the needs of the students. Based on his or her needs, I will build a lesson to improve the student weaknesses and enhance his strengths. Student will practice the skill that is taught through guided practice.
I am an engineering product manager with degrees in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering. I believe every math problem has a practical application, and the best was to tackle it is by first understanding how the problem is relavent to real-world applications.
My teaching method is hands-on, we move at the student's pace with a little push from me. I prefer individual tutoring as it give the student and I the ability to cover in detail the topics that are already clear and focus on the rougher points. Clarity is always key.
When teach I prefer to teach in a way that is fun, but I also like to insure that students are able to retain what is being taught, which can be done through the use of acronyms and giving lots of explains.
I base my classes on a 'gamified' approach. My policy for learning and teaching has always been WORK AT PLAY and PLAY AT WORK. This is unlike any other formal education method, and always works. I also take a practical approach, so students can understand the real life applications of everything they learn.
I have taught a variety of learners and have expertise in modifying and scaffolding learning to meet the needs of each individual learner. I am adaptable in my instruction and tutoring and yet, my goals to have each student, yes you, are non-negotiable.
It must be joyful. It must make you smile. It must remain with you for the rest of your life. It must leave thirsty for more. It must open heavenly windows into the knowledge of God itself.
In my early years as a tutor, I made the common mistake of modeling my teaching style solely off of the textbook’s lessons or the way that I was taught. In doing so, I quickly realized that I had failed to acknowledge the individual needs and distinct learning styles of my students.
I use practical approach while teaching. I ensure that my students get along well and understand basic concepts of the topics.
My teaching style is collaborative. I seek to inject fun into my classes and provide useful lessons that can be applied outside the classroom.
I teach a wide variety of students, from sixth graders all the way to college freshmen. But regardless of who I'm tutoring, my teaching methods are simple: give the student what they want at a pace they're comfortable with. Unlike traditional teachers, I am not restrained to a schedule, so I have the freedom to go as fast or as slow as the student wants (and change pace as desired).
I am currently a college student, going for my degree in Bioengineering on my Pre-Med track. Mathematics is and forever will be my favorite subject. I am currently passing my Calculus 2 class, moving on to differential equations next semester. When teaching ANYTHING, I don’t rush things. I make sure a tooic is understood before moving on.
I graduated Summa Cum Laude in physics from Cornell University in 2016. Currently, I am pursuing a PhD in theoretical physics at the University of Chicago, where I am also a physics teaching assistant. I have experience in teaching in both a classroom and one-on-one format, though I find I am more effective in the latter environment.
My teaching method is based on questions. I want my students to have complete mastery of the subjects that I tutor. Furthermore, I have a tremendous amount of patience and will make sure my students understand the material. I like to give students practice problems to make sure they are getting the material.
I am currently getting my masters in mathematics, and I am teaching at a community college in Chicago. I am very patient and understanding, and it is easy for me to relate to the students. This is because I am currently a student, and I have been around students my whole life.
My teaching method is adapted based upon the level of education of individual or pools of students with flexibility to provide understanding of subjects

I have a B.S in Industrial Engineering from Bradley University. Throughout my time in college, I was a teacher assistant for 2 years. I also tutored all my friends in math and science subjects, whether it was statistics, algebra, calculus, chemistry, or physics. I enjoy helping others succeed, and I wanna see students graduate.
