I approach learning on the individuals view point I see how they best learn the material whether it is little notes like PEMDAS People Eat My Doughnuts At Seven for parentheses Exponents Multiplication Division Addition Subtraction, for order of operations; or visual with examples. I believe every student has the potential to excel at anything especially math.
Most of my students are high schoolers. I teach them by breaking down the complex problems into simple basic parts from which they develop an understanding of the problems. I also give relevant problems to them for developing a better understanding so they can approach the problem efficiently and in a simple way.
I worked one-on-one with High school and middle school kids preparing students for exams, helping with homework, and SAT, ACT math test preparation. I personally prefer one-on-one tutoring and enjoy engaging my students with fun and challenging math problems.
Lesson Plan First, I believe that learning should be FUN! We remember the things that we enjoy! I like to always have a clear understanding of the needs of the learner. I will talk to students about the areas of frustration, and also the parents (when possible for younger learners) to get as much information as possible.
I help you get to the answer, not hand it to you. I ensure you feel empowered to tackle your educational responsibilities, even when alone. This is the best way to guarantee continual growth and success for you. I bring & impart CIC - Compassion, Information & Confidence.
I mainly focus on understanding and building strong conceptual foundations. I try to make my classes as much interactive as possible. I also focus on problem-solving and teach looking at a problem from different angles. I usually teach high school students and undergrad level students. I love to take up questions in and after the class.
I follow a mastery based learning approach for teaching. I create tailored individual plans for all my students, focusing on their learning styles and overcoming past math difficulties in order to excel at math now and in the future.
Some specific accomplishments include: • Took middle school students to finals in a computer-based proficiency competition. • Established positive and trusting relationships in the Columbus/Reynoldsburg/Worthington/Westerville area communities and many other suburban school districts in the Columbus Ohio area. • Well organized and efficient.
I approach each topic clearly and as simplistic as possible for students to understand. I look for new and better ways to comprehend the information easier for my students. Outgoing and friendly and there for you when you’re in need of help.
My approach to teaching consists of student centered activities that help meet their academic needs; also, I place emphasis on their struggling areas. In addition, I use visual aids and manipulatives to help students comprehend abstract concepts more easily.
I give lessons to students of any age at any level. I am here to help with exactly what you need help with.
I am a Physics graduate with a B.S. from Gonzaga University, capable of creating tutoring sessions designed to work along-side students of high-school or college level classes in Physics, Math, Science, and other subjects if requested.
I am a gentle and patient tutor who has been teaching math since 1972. I teach by showing that what appear to be new ideas are really just old ideas stated in a new way. In more than 40 years of teaching, I have literally taught everything from arithmetic to the calculus, and everything in-between (algebra, trigonometry and pre-calculus)..
My teaching method is really straight forward, I use a lot of examples to allow students to fully grasp each topic. I also utilize practice questions and worksheets to allow students to practice the required needed skills. As a tutor, I am patient and understanding and always willing to go the extra mile for the students that I tutor.
I form each of my classes based on your personal goals, level of experience coming into the lesson, and required level of understanding. For some individuals, this may mean stressing mathematical proofs. For others, this may mean understanding the core concepts that underly the formulas. Overall, I approach each topic differently depending on the circumstances present.
First off, *I understand the struggle of learning these notoriously difficult subjects.* My goal is to help you build the quantitative skills and conceptual understanding to gain the confidence to complete your homework, while leaving you with a more complete understanding and appreciation of the subject.
My methodology involves fostering an environment which encourages each student to be an independent learner. My goal is to guide you to the point where you no longer need me. I'll know I've succeeded as soon as I'm out of a job. I specialize in math (algebra 1 & 2, geometry, and trigonometry), SAT math, chemistry (high school, AP, IB, college), and biology.
I adapt to the child’s specific needs or learning methods, every child has their own way of learn so why bother teaching in a certain way that may only work for one and not the other.
I make teaching/tutoring Math fun and LESS intimidating. From my experience, I have observed that most students (6-12th, adult) have a fear towards understanding/learning math concepts. My approach is to always help the student build their confidence and eliminate fear.
I have worked with multiple teaching methods, so I am versatile and able to help a variety of students. I am highly effective at tutoring 1-on-1, as well as teaching an entire classroom. I am fun, personable, easy to learn from, and my students feel very inspired by my contagious ease and passion for math.
Only have experience as an individual tutor. I have My methodology can be summarized as... whether it's a test someone is preparing for or a homework assignment they are trying to complete, I listen to what the person is struggling with in completing the task at hand and help them understand.
I approach each topic by giving examples of application in everyday life. I try to dispel the common misconception that mathematics beyond a basic level is irrelevant to everyday life and human existence. I help students to appreciate how a knowledge of the topic to be taught can help to enrich their lives whether now or in the future.
The first step to teaching someone well, is understanding the topic well. Tutoring doesn't just involve showing somebody how something works, but also helping them understanding why all the other ways aren't correct. My teaching methodology will be based on whoever I am teaching.
My classes are all done online so I use different online teaching materials in my discussions. I am very flexible in my teaching approach and I ensure that I am being very objective to my students' needs. I treat every student independently and with utmost consideration for their individual needs.
Hello, My name is Dr. Norman J. LaFave. I have a PhD in physics from the University of Texas at Austin and a B.S. in physics and mathematics from Carnegie-Mellon University. I have specialized in tutoring students in physics, chemistry, and mathematics at both the high school and collegiate levels for over 35 years.
My teaching methodology is to teach each person individually... So that he/she can clear doubt without get nervous and enhance their skills. So let's start studying the whole concepts and increase the depth of all concept and score good marks.
I am quite passionate and enthusiastic about chemistry and love to see younger students find interest in the field. I have always enjoyed helping others learn and being able to share my knowledge about the subject.
I'm able to clearly explain complex concepts by building on what the student already knows. I'm patient and able to adapt my explanations and teaching methods until understanding is gained. I like to ask the student follow-up questions to assess for understanding and opportunities for further clarification or learning.
My main focus is to create an environment where my students can achieve their goals all while gaining a deeper understanding of the subject at hand. My 28-years of experience allows me a deeper understand of how to make mathematics more engaging for students of all abilities.
I use observatory methods to determine my teaching methods. After asking tutee questions, paying attention to which methods (visual, kinetic, etc.) work best, I assess the type of learner that the tutee is. If the tutee is a visual learner, I create and repeat examples for the tutee to learn. If the tutee learns by doing, I teach the methods and allow him/her to learn by trial and error.

In some shape and form, math is able to explain just about everything in life. For some people, math is truly one of the greatest subjects to learn. It holds the answer to so many questions, so learning as much as possible about math can lead to a grasp of information that is not owned and obtained by many people. However, to others, math is just another subject that can prove incredibly tricky, as if a certain math formulas and math questions are not completely and accurately understood, everything else around it can prove devastating, both to the student and to their grade. That is exactly why, should a student struggle with any form of math, they need to seek out the help of mathematics private teachers. These private teachers create very specific math lessons for each student. This way, a student know what they need to study and work on in order to not only catch up with the class, but eventually surpass the other students.
All sorts of different topics are related to math and the mathematics private lessons. Some of these classes include physics private lessons, chemistry private lessons, biology private lessons, plus engineering private teachers can help with statistics private lessons as well.
