I've been fortunate enough to experience all kinds of teachers, and I feel my own teaching style has been something of a combination of all their best aspects. I always begin by figuring out what the student knows conceptually, without considering numerical answers at all. This can be done through questions or just diagrams (I will pretty much draw a diagram for every question).
My pedagogical process begins with an assessment of the student's goals and the steps needed to achieve those aims. Once these objectives have been established, I work with my students to tailor my extant courses to their learning styles and needs. My courses are coding and Excel intensive. There is no requirement for any prior knowledge, as the courses include coding tuition.
My teaching methods have always been adjusted and are responsive to the needs of my students, because everyone learns differently. I like to use examples that illustrate and contextualize theoretical issues, preferably based on my own personal and professional experiences. Case studies are also useful tools.
I am comfortable in teaching on an individual basis as well as in group sessions. I like students to come prepared to class and be interactive with the teacher. I am a passionate speaker who will rely on a lot of practical business cases to illustrate theoretical concepts about economics, finance, and trade.
My teaching method is one that is clear, concise and to the point. I understand that neither party has time to waste and so I am someone who gets straight down to business. Besides that, I encourage students to ask questions at the end and beginning fo each class so that it becomes clearer as to whether or not they have understood the topic.
Bachelor's of Science in Physics and Bachelor's of Arts in History as undergraduate. In graduate school, focused on International Studies, the subject matter of my M.A. and Ph.D. degrees. The field allowed me to bring together my broad training in economics, social science, and philosophy.
I have a B.S. in Social Sciences from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. I use the gradual release method in my classroom. It allows the student to take full ownership of their understanding and expertise. I believe a teacher is merely a guide to student success, much as a lighthouse is merely a guide to ships on a successful journey.
M.S. in Economics, B.A. in Economics, B.S. in Statistics, Minor in Mathematics. I have experience working with students at all levels including college level. I focus on breaking down broader topics into smaller objectives that are both attainable and realistic.
I use teaching different teaching resources: Power Point presentations, videos, quizzes, problems, cases, sample exams. The dedication before and after the session explains why my tutoring is different and effective. My professional experience allows me to give practical examples.
My students have learned to approach their studies using inquiry based research and self study. I believe that the best teacher ultimately for the student is that student himself or herself. There is no magic wand to learning, but there are tried and true methods to succeed. I do not waste time with my students; if the student is serious, he or she will learn.
I firmly believe that every student has their own pace in learning and understanding things. With subject like human resources and business, I make sure that I include a lot of examples to support the theories. I make sure that I include fun activities that also contribute to learning , in my teaching methodology.
I am committed to helping students to learn with a commitment to depth. Depth matters because it proves to your audience you know about the material enough to deliver superior value. My objective is to inculcate confidence, diligence and competence in students, in their quest to achieve progression and mastery of their academic and career endeavors.
My philosophy of teaching has evolved from 12+ years of undergrad and graduate level teaching experience.
My teaching method is very similar to old school type. I explain each topic in the given chapter in details and then discuss about the various other ideas students get depending on their understanding.I love fun in learning economics.
During my classes I try to follow two main goals: 1) make the student understand the essence of the topic, being able to reproduce the main ideas and logics by himself, which greatly helps during the exam, 2) ensure that the student gets enough of practical experience solving exercises with my feedback and guidance.
I approach teaching by working with students on mastering fundamentals such as understanding the vocabulary of the subject, practicing concepts with scenarios and application of the theory to the real world (e. g. interpreting current events).
My teaching method is to assess the student's strengths and weaknesses, learning style, and goals. As a business math tutor I give lessons to college and undergraduate students taking Accounting and Economics courses.
I always first try to assess a student to judge his level of understanding about the subject. Then, i try to make myself compatible to his level of comprehending the concepts and make my lessons tailored to his level of understanding.
I provide tutoring in economics to high school and college students. My particular area of speciality is prepping students to take the AP Microeconomics Exam. I hold high expectations of my students. That said, it is my job to do everything within my power to help them succeed.

Learning should be fun. Tutoring sessions should be fast-paced to maximize efficiency, yet relaxed. I am very personable and find great fulfillment in helping people succeed. My schedule is flexible. Locations are flexible. I find that most folks are surprised at how easily they attain information and acquire skills once it is presented in a way that they understand.
I work with 7-9 graders specifically in teaching in the classroom, but have taught and tutored in English, Mathematics, and Economics to a wide age-range. Students love learning with me because I challenge them, and because I know how to teach and explain sometimes difficult topics (especially in a different culture) to help them understand things more clearly.
My teaching method is dependent on the learner. Some people are more visual learners for example, in those cases I have visual aids and study techniques to help students retain more information. I took a study methods class at Stanford University, whose material I will often reference in order to help students retain more knowledge and study effectively.
Personally, I cannot keep on studying without understanding the logic of the topic. So I cannot pass to another lesson if I don't understand the reasoning . Therefore, in my tutoring sesssions, I think my students are like me and I wanna be sure that my student really understand, I mean it, the lesson. I cannot give the formula and ask to memorize it.
Junior at FIU 3.67 GPA, currently applying to law schools. My day job is working with elementary level students so I am very patient, although I work well with all age groups. If you have any questions feel free to contact me.
I give lessons to high school and college students and I like to focus on improving weaknesses. I encourage asking questions. I believe in being patient and trying to explain concepts in different ways to optimize understanding.
I like to teach using examples with meaningful practicality, and looping it back around to something theoretically rigorous, interesting, and fulfilling. After all, Diminishing Marginal Utility doesn't mean anything if you can't apply it to the real world! Further, I try and keep my lessons short and concise, focusing only on the topics you want to understand better.
I sit down with a student and we go over the difficult material together. Based on a student's style, we can tackle problems from different angles and I can provide scaffolding or pose new questions to help. I just try to be patient and understand the student's thought process.
