*** Lesson Details *** Most students want to play the Guitar to play their favorite songs and I'm the same way. Music is something we carry with us in our hearts and minds. Students will learn what they wish to learn and work at a pace that is comfortable to them.
This 30-year veteran teacher, performer and recording artist can get you started as a beginner, or bring you to the next level as an intermediate or advanced player I have a Masters Degree, and have been performing and teaching for over 35 years. While performing is a delightful experience, I feel equally as enthused when teaching others and helping them grow in their own artistry.
I like to teach students using visual and physical methods. I encourage muscular exercises to increase flexibility and practice exercises that improve one's ability to read music. I have many beginner and intermediate level pieces for my students to practice based on what type of music they are interested in. I like to encourage students to expand their abilities and practice daily.
I truly love sharing the gift of music with my students! As a professional musician for over 20 years, I can help beginners all the way up to advanced students studying saxophone, flute, clarinet, piano, music theory, composition, arranging and improvisation. My focus is always to help my students build their skills and confidence, step-by-step.
My only teaching method is that I only care about developing the most natural technique and musicality. I don’t stick to any “methods” because teaching piano requires the most flexible and individual approach while keeping the highest standards of education no matter the age or current level of the students.
I studied piano in my youth with seven years of piano and recitals. I played flute and piccolo and participated in school bands for seven years. I studied voice and received A's in my college courses and recognition from a international singer when studying through a studio that they were affiliated with.
I have taught theory for years. BUT many think it is just a bunch of rules. THERE'S MORE. Through CONVERSATION, we will explore these concepts. We'll begin at your current understanding then journey together.
I give lessons to middle schoolers and high schoolers who are in the beginner or intermediate stages of clarinet playing. I start out by seeing where you're at skill-wise and then tailor the lesson so that you will get the most out of it.
Experienced Harpist and music educator with three degrees in music education and over 40 years of teaching experience, providing private and small group lessons for students studying Harp, Flute or music theory. Multiple performance opportunities in an ensemble, and as a soloist.
Based on my education, training, and experience I have developed an approach that can be summarized in four rules. 1. The notes and the music are not the same thing. 2. Technique and interpretation are the same thing. 3. Practicing is practical and 100% goal oriented. 4. Hard work is never in vain. This approach is flexible and works with all ages and levels.
I am Royal Choir trained. I am patient with my students and give them the freedom to learn at the own pace. I believe that if you push your student will never learn! I am currently at University to become a music Teacher.
I grew up in a family of teachers and one of the most important things I learned was that every student is different and therefore my teaching methods need to adapt to what is best for them, as opposed to expecting the student to fit a mold I have set for them.
When I was first taught to play the violin I was taught to learn a piece by plucking and then bowing. So that is how I teach. It focuses on the material before the technique, giving each equally important part their own time to shine. I also go through lessons based on individualized practice. We see where your weak points are and work them into strong ones.
I am a music graduate with a diploma in interdisciplinary studies, and I teach at all levels of music theory, from beginner to advanced. My teaching method is simple; I approach each topic at its most basic level. In that way, it will be much easier for the student to grasp each and every topic.
MUSIC TUTORING: My main goal with teaching music is to provide a basic understanding of music theory to beginner musicians. Topics such as understanding written music, basic harmony and musicology, and incorporating that knowledge with music that people enjoy listening to today. My teaching style is quite relaxed, but still structured and focused.
My method is to study each student's learning strengths and weaknesses. There is not one method that works for every person. I adjust the method to match the student. I have written music books and workbooks for teaching different methods and seen much success over the years across the United States and in some other countries as well.
I believe in a holistic learning environment that is based on the interests and goals of the individual. Having worked with full classes, small groups, and over 20 indivual students, I view teaching as a collaborative exercise, working with the individuals to create a unique an indidual plan that will create fantastic results.
My teaching method is simple - every person and every student is different. What might work wonderfully as a learning tactic for one student, could be the absolute last resort for another. So, I work on a student-by-student basis, designing lesson plans that cater to the strengths and weaknesses of individuals. I have worked with students as young as four, up through adults.
My methodology is: work smarter, not harder. Technique is of the upmost importance to achieve musical goals without damage to the musician. I give lessons up to college level voice (especially audition cuts and musical theatre singing) and up to intermediate guitar/ukulele/piano. I will expect students to warm up before a lesson as well as with me at the beginning of each session.
I am deeply committed to education and course development. As a teacher and performer, critical listening and research have provided the analytical foundation for my instruction. I focus on educational quality and pedagogical need so students, both in private lessons and ensemble situations, can develop as musicians.
My training in piano started from when I was 5 years old. Since then, I continuously took piano lesson and have had performed on the stage as well. I continued my training in piano until the end of my undergraduate at the University of Hartford under David Westfall, Paul Rutman, Susan Cheng and Grace Smith.
My method first is knowing all the abilities the person have to guide him/her to the right path. Knowing the level of the student is essential, that way I can teach the things that are missing. I'm a very patient guy and I will work until you learn what you want.
