*** Lesson Details *** Most students want to play the Guitar to play their favorite songs and I'm the same way. Music is something we carry with us in our hearts and minds. Students will learn what they wish to learn and work at a pace that is comfortable to them.
I have a Masters Degree, and have been performing and teaching for over 35 years. While performing is a delightful experience, I feel equally as enthused when teaching others and helping them grow in their own artistry. Helping my students reclaim their passion for music is a particular joy for me as a teacher.
I give lessons to middle schoolers and high schoolers who are in the beginner or intermediate stages of clarinet playing. I start out by seeing where you're at skill-wise and then tailor the lesson so that you will get the most out of it.
I truly love sharing the gift of music with my students! As a professional musician for over 20 years, I can help beginners all the way up to advanced students studying saxophone, flute, clarinet, piano, music theory, composition, arranging and improvisation. My focus is always to help my students build their skills and confidence, step-by-step.
I studied piano in my youth with seven years of piano and recitals. I played flute and piccolo and participated in school bands for seven years. I studied voice and received A's in my college courses and recognition from a international singer when studying through a studio that they were affiliated with.
I am very picky with learning fundamentals and basics in every subject I teach, not only in music. Later when the student is more improved I always have them bring their taste into the lessons. For example: If someone hates traditional music but loves classical music, why would I have him not focus on that.. Music and lessons needs to be fun in order to have a successful student.
I was born in Moscow, Russia. My mother was a piano teacher and started me playing at 4. I studied at the legendary Moscow Conservatory with Victor Merzhanov. In the US, I won the Houston Symphony Ima Hogg Young Artist Competition and debuted with the Symphony performing Beethoven's Third Piano Concerto. I earned my Bachelor's of Music at the University of Houston.

I have taught theory for years. BUT many think it is just a bunch of rules. THERE'S MORE. Through CONVERSATION, we will explore these concepts. We'll begin at your current understanding then journey together.
Based on my education, training, and experience I have developed an approach that can be summarized in four rules. 1. The notes and the music are not the same thing. 2. Technique and interpretation are the same thing. 3. Practicing is practical and 100% goal oriented. 4. Hard work is never in vain. This approach is flexible and works with all ages and levels.
I am a music graduate with a diploma in interdisciplinary studies, and I teach at all levels of music theory, from beginner to advanced. My teaching method is simple; I approach each topic at its most basic level. In that way, it will be much easier for the student to grasp each and every topic.
My fundamental goal is to unlock the student’s potential by varying my teaching style and being innovative. Every student has different needs, tastes and goals and they are for me the key to progressing and enjoy playing.
My teaching method is simple - every person and every student is different. What might work wonderfully as a learning tactic for one student, could be the absolute last resort for another. So, I work on a student-by-student basis, designing lesson plans that cater to the strengths and weaknesses of individuals. I have worked with students as young as four, up through adults.
My methodology is: work smarter, not harder. Technique is of the upmost importance to achieve musical goals without damage to the musician. I give lessons up to college level voice (especially audition cuts and musical theatre singing) and up to intermediate guitar/ukulele/piano. I will expect students to warm up before a lesson as well as with me at the beginning of each session.
I am deeply committed to education and course development. As a teacher and performer, critical listening and research have provided the analytical foundation for my instruction. I focus on educational quality and pedagogical need so students, both in private lessons and ensemble situations, can develop as musicians.
My training in piano started from when I was 5 years old. Since then, I continuously took piano lesson and have had performed on the stage as well. I continued my training in piano until the end of my undergraduate at the University of Hartford under David Westfall, Paul Rutman, Susan Cheng and Grace Smith.
My method first is knowing all the abilities the person have to guide him/her to the right path. Knowing the level of the student is essential, that way I can teach the things that are missing. I'm a very patient guy and I will work until you learn what you want.

My teaching method is based on the child but is, for the most part, a classical curriculum which dives into music history, theory, technique, performance and repertoire. My goal is not for you to have to drag your child to each lesson but for him to develop a new appreciation and passion for the beauty of music.
I expect students to practice in between lessons, and to be honest if something is too hard. I have taught all standards in the past and prefer one to one lessons, to make sure you get the attention you need.
I develop each student's curriculum based on their unique goals. I always encourage an interdisciplinary course of study, as I've found that cross-training is the best way to improve as a musician. I am able to teach rock, metal, blues, funk, jazz, classical and everything in between. Additionally I can teach transcribing, composition and improvisation.
My teaching method is to teach the basics in an individual way per student. I find early on what the students best method of learning is and I teach them in a way they can access the information easily.
