(not me pictured! thats a quick study from life!) Anyone can learn to draw! All that's required is some patience and trusting one's own hand and eye. For beginning students, we will begin be copying a drawing or two, and learning to take apart visual space. Beyond that, we will carefully draw objects and space, and practice using line, shape, light & shadow to define a drawing.
My teaching method is to teach you the techniques and enhance your ideas of creativity! You will not be taught to paint like me but like you! Together we will discover your inner expression while learning the techniques to perfect the materials.

As an educator the primary focus is to create an experimental environment, one in which students are allowed to create an intrinsic connection with content. Allowing them to connect on a personal level and apply the newly obtained information to their everyday lives. This philosophy has transformative properties, allowing me, as an educator, to effectively act as a guide.

I am able to explain abstract concepts (color wheel, shadows, portrait structure) very easily for deeper understanding.

The process of construction relates to understanding that dynamics comes from knowing how to complete small steps with the good faith of a big final result. A single letter is simple to learn and when added up makes up the alphabet and turns into words. Art is very similar in this way.
I will base my classes on having fun using expression and learning something. First, we would start off basic to see what level you are at and work from there. I think that it is important to not get bored so it will always be an interesting time.

During each session, you will receive verbal techniques, color combinations, professional secrets, and instructions to guide you along the way.
I base my classes on the idea of stopping the brain of the student from symbolizing something they see in favor of drawing what they are seeing. After that, study of Drawing Lessons from the Great Masters provides basic forms which are carefully copied and understood by the student. Then the student begins copying drawings of high quality by historic masters of the craft.
I think the most important thing as a teacher is being abled to adapt to my students and understand that we are all different, have different talents, and are abled to learn at out own individual pace. I am very discipline and expect students to be discipline enough for their age, but I also want them to have fun and enjoy their lessons.
