I believe that anyone can learn anything. While everyone has natural abilities with certain subject, I know that it really comes down to finding the right way to deliver and explain the material. With the right explanation and some practice, I think anyone can learn anything they want.
Within my class, we focus on understanding the scientific phenomenons through real life examples, group discussions, and hands on experiences. My lessons typically begin with a real life question or problem that we are trying to solve. From there, we explore the topic using different texts, examples, discussions, and simulations.
I create a method based on the needs of the student.
It must be joyful. It must make you smile. It must remain with you for the rest of your life. It must leave thirsty for more. It must open heavenly windows into the knowledge of God itself.
My teaching methodology is to differentiate to the student at hand. I love doing both hands on and formal teaching.
Am well versed on the basics in physics, and topics all high-schoolers will face in their courses
I have a PhD in Physics from University of Wisconsin. I teach Physics to High school, Undergraduate students. I try to engage the students on the topic I am teaching. I used visuals to demonstrate the difficult topics to make it easier to understand.
I'm Alexis! I'm a science and math educator excited about working with you to find the best way to gain mastery of science and math knowledge and skills and reach your learning goals.
I graduated Summa Cum Laude in physics from Cornell University in 2016. Currently, I am pursuing a PhD in theoretical physics at the University of Chicago, where I am also a physics teaching assistant. I have experience in teaching in both a classroom and one-on-one format, though I find I am more effective in the latter environment.
I got my bachelor's degree in Neuroscience with a minor in philosophy and medical sciences. I am graduating with my master's degree this spring and I am attending Kentucky College of Medicine in the fall.
I look to evaluate what topics need reinforcement the most and which of the details or finer points the student seems to be missing that is causing them difficulty. I then try to teach alternative methods or new ways to approach the problems as well as explain how they can use and understand the textbook and online resources while they are not working with me.
I am an Chemical Engineering student at University of Illinois at Chicago, with a GPA of 3.21. I have studied advanced Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics. I usually run through a step-by-step, process with the student, and am always looking for new ways to explain the concepts to the student. I usually have a very relaxed and easygoing instruction.
Hi, I am junior at IIT. I have two year experience of college tutoring and an extensive period of middle and high school. I prefer working weekends and evenings on weekdays. Please contact me if you have any questions.
Each student has it's own needs, some times they need just one or two classes and some other times they need a lot of them. So the first thing I try to do is to meet them to find out which is their problem or which are their weak points, and to find out why they have those problems too. Then I prepare a plan to satisfy their needs. I prepare excercises and stimulate them to think.
I obtained a degree in Biomedical Engineering and pre-health from Georgia Institute of Technology, ranked #1 in BME throughout the nation. I have also studied for the MCAT, therefore, I have extensive knowledge of all pre-health and engineering related subject matter.
I am a Tutor and now in Med( science Education) program majoring in Biology, and physics and chemistry endorsement. My instructional target level will be middle , high school and college biology. I teach inquiry lesson and hands on activities are my favorite.
I like to keep an informal setting to help the students stay relaxed. I will generally solve 2 or 3 examples and ask students to solve the rest. My lessons build upon each other so fewer students will forget the earlier lessons.
I am engaged w/ the student which means I'm involved in communicating & getting the student to understand, as clearly as can be, what it is they need to learn.
My method of teaching follows an “I do, we do, you do” pattern. First I instruct and demonstrate how to execute a problem, then we do a problem together, then you complete practice problems on your own and we go over them afterwards for accuracy.
I teach by breaking down the skills you need to learn into small, manageable steps. We then put these fundamental skills to use to work up to the harder problems.
Aside from repetition and sample problems tailored to the students' homework and exam questions, I want to provide multiple resources (visual, interactive, etc.) that helped me when I had difficulty with math and science classes as a high school and undergraduate student.
I live in Oak Park, IL and have a B.S. in Earth Science. I am available to tutor algebra, earth science/geology, astronomy, and writing. I am also available to teach English as a second language. I can tutor online or in-person, and we will work at your pace. I am patient and friendly, and most of all I am motivated to help you learn.
I am focused on delivering the understanding of basics methods and phenomena used in Math and Physics I used to tutor in variety of subjects: algebra, geometry, statistics, mechanics, thermodynamics, electromagnetism, etc.
I'm a college engineering student at MIT that loves making things and playing the trumpet. I teach students from middle school through high school specializing in math, physics, chemistry, and standardized tests. I find that every student learns differently and that often all is needed is an explanation style different from that of current teachers.
I have a natural passion for teaching Math, Science and related topics. I've worked with students from Elementary through University levels. My students are from various backgrounds and challenges. I understand that a student has individual needs and will work with individual(s) to ensure successful learning.
I believe that relating subjects like math to real life is the best way of teaching. I hear all the time about how students say that most of what they learn will not help them in life after high school.
If the tutoring is for a class and there is homework given, my tutoring sessions consist of completing any homework assignments in that class, going over the homework and reviewing any parts in particular that were tricky.
Recently graduated Lake Forest College with a chemistry major and minor in physics. Grew up in Korea and moved to the state 7 years ago (can communicate in both Korean and English).
I strive to make sure nobody leaves my classes with unanswered questions. I want every student to feel comfortable with the coursework and leave with simple problem solving algorithms that will help them succeed.
I currently have a bachelor's in mechanical engineering. I like to teach using visuals whenever applicable (i.e. drawings, schematics/diagrams, physical objects) to show or prove a concept. If the question involves memorization, I would use mnemonics (i.e. Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally).
