My teaching method is first figuring out what the problems are. Then diving into the problem solving methodology to figure out what the problem is asking for and slowly going over the ways to actually solve the problem. At the same time, helping students understand the WHY part of the problem helps them to solve future problems using the same methodology.
As a retired professional engineer and mathematician, I am offering science, mathematics and logic tutoring and lessons to students at levels from middle school through university undergraduates. My teaching method is example based.
My methodology for teaching is entirely dependent on the student that I am working. For some, this is me having a structured lecture-style session with practice problems throughout the session. For others, it is working through homework they did not understand. For all of my students, I take feedback and approach the session that is most beneficial for them.
I base my classes on lots of visual graphics, maps, notes and examples from real life to make it more interesting and comprehensive. I also try to engage my students and develop their critical thinking skills.
I give instruction to other students. I focus mainly on incremental learning by building a strong foundation from simple concepts and applying them to more difficult problems. I understand that there are many students that struggle in the beginning and may want result in poor grades due to not understanding the fundamental material.
My teaching methodology is, begin with the introduction without books, watch relevant videos and explore the topic and practice questions after that. Understanding the concept is very important. Also, quizzes and short review tests are very important to check the understanding.
I am a Graduate Professional with 19 years of experience in Medical, Industry field and Education. Helping others to learn is one of the most successful experiences in my career. Additionally working with students with learning disabilities, co-workers with different careers or educational level are giving me the most powerful experiences.
I am Frederick E. Macaso, graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Biological Sciences in Western Mindanao State University, College of Teacher Education, one of the best teaching institution in the Philippines. i am a recipient of the Best student Teacher during my college days.
I teach based on example.
They are customized to the needs and abilities of the student. Our primary focus is to master the material by practicing a range of problems from easy to hard. After the easier problems are mastered we will work on more difficult problems. Taking practice tests, watching videos, and discussing the examples and theories together is what makes a student prepared.
Find strong points and build from there. Make the student understand and reason the process instead of memorizing gives better results. As with sports and music, practice, practice, and more practice makes us better at mathematics and science in general.
I have completed the following Associate level training from Diablo Valley College in the Bay Area, a top feeder Community College into the UC system: Associates of Science, Civil Engineering Associates of Science, Mathematics Associates of Science, Mechanical Engineering Associates of Science, Physics On top of this I am currently attending UC, San Diego for Physics with Specialization...
I graduated from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Texas A&M University in December 2015 with a Doctor of Philosophy degree. I thoroughly enjoy teaching as it enables me to help students that are enthusiastic in their learning and they appreciate it when they succeed.
I am a Physicist, I prefer to work with High School and College students, I have a Masters degree in Physics and a Masters degree in Education, as well as a valid CA Single Subject Credential in Math and Physics. I approach each student individually until I get a feeling where the struggles are so I can better serve him/her.

Hi, I'm Tom Scott, graduate of the school of Computer Engineering, UMASS. I have tutored both adults and children, including children with ADHD. If the student does not reach his or her goals, all payments are returned. 100% money-back guarantee. I tailor the lesson to meet the student's needs.
I stress classroom critical thinking, the use of mathematics and science fundamentals as foundation for driving the course. The students’ response has been very encouraging from using constructivist methodology to fully engage students. This includes encompassing the Next Generation and Common Core standards as a regular part of my curriculum.
My teaching method depends on the student. Based on the student's need, my approach can be very hands on to remote sessions, or a combination. Lessons focus on underlying principles and use of homework and problem sets to clarify and illustrate these principles.
My tutoring style is based on problems. Typically, a student will come to me with a set of problems that they are struggling to solve. I first explain the problem to the student and walk them to the answer. Then I make sure they understand the concept so that they can solve similar problems on their own.
I try to be visual when certain concepts get confusing. Otherwise I try to make the student accountable and get them to master the subject.
I believe each student requires a unique and personal lesson plan. I tend to focus on guided practice because I believe practice makes perfect.
I like to give lots of concrete examples. Step by step, slow pace. Powerpoints in the classroom.
I recently graduated college with a Bachelor's of Science, with a major in Health Science and a concentration in Pre-Medicine. I want to give back some of the knowledge I've received by tutoring students in the sciences. My methods would be to work through homework problems as well as explain subjects found in the class textbook that may be unclear.
I use the Socratic method of teaching in the classroom. The majority of my students are taking high school or college mathematics courses. I place a lot of emphasis on guiding students to a correct solution by asking appropriate questions as the student attempts to solve a problem.
