WHAT DO WE DO? I try hard to present students with a solid, broad based approach with an emphasis on understanding the fundamentals of musical comprehension, music reading, musical memory, and ear development. These are essential to playing and enjoyment of any instrument! To this end we cover theory, music history, performance, technique and practical application.
Individualized lesson plans are created for each student based upon age, level, and background. Whether a complete beginner or an advanced pianist, students will learn to play the piano music they’ve always dreamed of! They will learn musical notation, technical skills, and music theory.
I am a seasoned musician in the art of making music. I teach beginner and intermediate levels because I like to work with those who have no bad habits in music it’s easier to learn than unlearn bad playing habits. My approach is simple. I go where the music takes us. Your individuality will determine your path in the music.

B.A. in Music Education with a Double major in Double Bass and Classical Guitar from the University of Northern Colorado, Greeley, Colorado. I played in the University Orchestra as well as the Greeley Philharmonic under the direction of Dr. Howard Skinner.
I teach how to read and how to interpret music so students can enjoy playing any type of music. Also I teach music theory for students who are planning to take grade exams.
My approach is very personalized. I realize that every student has a different learning style and wants to accomplish different levels of skills. I can tailor lessons to suit your needs and skill levels whether it's to learn performance and songwriting skills, or to just be able to play for yourself.
The Suzuki method uses the "mother tongue" approach. Infants listen to language and learn to speak before they learn to read. Suzuki students listen to the music they will be learning before they learn to read music. This promotes fluent and confident playing.
I have studied organ and piano since I was 9 years old. I graduated from MCC in McHenry, IL with a focus on piano and theory. My training is classically based. I write music for my students as well as prepared and arrange songs for my students in the level they are in. My students pick the songs they want to learn.
