My teaching methods are based on the students' needs. My classes are based on communicative grammar.
My teaching methods are defined based on some elements: student age, goal of learning Portuguese, available time, previous level of knowledge of the language and personal learning profile. I base my classes on topics of interest to the student and the personal specificities of each one, defining an objective, flexible and interesting teaching program.
The classes will be customized according to the needs of each student. At first I will analyze the student's portuguese level and his objective studying this language. After that, I will elaborate the classes according to your needs.
I believe each student has a particular way of learning, to learn a new language is a complex and amazing process. Is that why I develop an individual analysis about the individual necessity of my students. In our my classes I stimulate the conversation (pronunciation) and to learn the grammar.
Based on my academic experience, I have a well developed English. I can teach young adults the basics of the Portuguese language. I like to use small articles, songs, and videos to prepare my students. I think its a standard and efficient way to get to know any language.
As most of my students aim to learn a more everyday Portuguese, I like to work with examples and practical use of the language. In my opinion, the best way to make a lesson is by exploring the student's interests. Even native speakers spend all their lives improving their language skills, so I focus on what is important to that student's specific needs, while not forgetting a more general approach.
First, I will introduce you to simple concepts and structure, including the concept of "communicative competence" and its components; teaching contexts; current research on teaching second language skills; and techniques.
Firstly, I try to understand the students' needs in order to apply the appropriate methodologies. I seek, for example, to work with videos of international television programs (interviews, news programs, etc.) so that the student understands oral speech in a more realistic way.
My teaching method change from student to student due to the fact that every person has a different type of learning technique. I try to adept my methodology accordingly to the student needs. Portuguese is my native language so I feel completely comfortable to help with any skill you have a problem.
Grammar, frequent conversational classes, frequent exercises, answers to all student questions, lessons on various topics (including topics of your choice, to improve your course or area of work for example) and everything the student needs to learn to speak fluently
I understand each person is a different individual who has different perceptions from the same subject – so a unique learning process. Also, I guarantee my student will have lessons directed to his/her reality and demands, stimulating my student respecting his/ her responds.
I base my classes on movies, shows, and conversations about several topics. I believe that conversation is the best way to learn a language quicker. Also, movies and shows help you speak like a citizen would speak. I love what I do and feel free to ask me any questions.
My teaching method is simple. I am here to talk to you and teach you the way that Brazilian people talk to each other.
Our lessons will be based on your goals, feel free to choose the better way for you!
Study of texts Thread topics Search Word Exploration Textual Writing
My teaching method is Active Learning. I apply visual, audio and kinesthesic in my classes. I use PPT presentations and flash cards as well writing and listening.
I approach each topic depending on the level of the student trying to see what each can accomplish individually or in groups
I try to include conversation in Portuguese as much as possible. Each class is designed to help the specific needs of the students.
Conversation is one of the most effective ways to learn a second language, followed by association between words and figures, translations and homeworks according to the student's level

I have a bachelor degree in Physical Therapy and I have been teaching people who has learning difficulties for more than 10 years. I use the ESL techniques and use exemples and repetition to catch the student's attention. Depending on the age, I use different resources to teacher portuguese. With children I use a lot of props and with adults I talk about daily life and actualities.
The lessons are based on the individuals current understanding of Portuguese, and it will be inclusive of: both English and Portuguese, what to expect if you were to go to Brazil, common situations/phrases, college level tutoring, and practice conversations in Portuguese, all of which will be adapted to the students needs and interests.
TO TEACH VOCABULARY: Read together list of related words (so the student can associate words used in a same context) while showing pictures representing each word (so the student can associate the word with the image). Example: list of animals found in the Amazon; besides the animal's names, this can be used to learn colors and body parts by using the animal's pictures.
