I focus the way I teach on how each individual learns; whether they are more towards visual representations or hands-on interactions. Everything I provide, knowledge-wise, is based on personal experience throughout my career. I like to base lessons off of what the student would like to create so that the information they intake helps broaden their possibilities.
I am a self & University taught in arts & studied many different mediums, but I gravitate towards the more craftier or folksy side of the arts spectrum I would say. I can teach just about any media or medium a student is interested in at any level in art, but my personal style is more in the abstract range.
Yve G. Ruth is an amazing art teacher. My daughter really loved all the projects she brought to work on. We are very proud of her artwork. We will definitely hire her again and recommend her for sure. Nov 13, 2018 Verified Paola M. Ruth is just awesome with the kids! My daughters love to see her and always listen to everything she has to say.
My teaching method is to show students ways they can improve their art by example and by giving friendly advice. I can show you step by step how to draw or paint any subject you would like. Students can help plan their own lessons by talking to me with what they would like to work on, or my plan is to have an example of what to create and to help you create it.
My teaching method is having confidence in your work can make a great improvement, never be afraid to start off messy. Even though I am not a very advanced artist, I improve my weakness by doing them with bold confidence.
I like to experiment with everyone. I encourage individualism and also refinement, tools and methodologies. I love to utilize graphics for aiding artwork but also for portfolio presentations and resumes. I love to teach graphics, 3d modeling but of course fine art as well. We can work on traditional or experimental and abstract. It's up to you.
My teaching method is a hands-on approach contoured to finding the genius in each student, and helping bring that forth concretely, and practically. I will help each student identify a working method that helps them reach their maximum potential. I can teach students of all levels.
Have you ever imagined the world without any artwork? If not, try to do so. How would you feel? How do you think the world would fare without artwork? Do you think we as a whole would be just as progressive or regressive? Art is extremely important when it comes to our daily lives. Therefore, it is imperative that all students learn the wonderful world of artwork.
One on one, or in groups focused on developing the artists eye, projects and hands on crafts to inspire even the timid of heart I believe the difference between a Master artist and a beginner is not in how many mistakes you make, but in what you do with them when you make them for one man's catastrophe is another man's greatest triumph of artistic genius.
My teaching methods for art are an "untaught" method that can often incorporate a spiritual aspect . With this approach, there is no right or wrong with art. Instead, we embark in personal exploration and create freely. These lessons are for everyone as art is for everyone! No art experience is necessary, only a desire to explore and create.
I can give lessons to anyone of any age. The basics for art can be easily understood by anyone and even younger children can be taught easily. I begin with evaluations to see what the students already know and can do. Then from there I ask what they want and where they want to get to. We work on those things and I'll even critique their work like universities do.
Teaching methods of creation such as how to work with the nature of each medium. Teach students how to understand the subject matter they are working with as well as time management and research. Encourage students to pursue what their interests are and figure out their own method on how to display them visually.
My teaching method is to give the students the basics and help them to express themselves with their own ideas. I have worked with oils, acrylics, clay, copper relief, wood carving, jewelry design, fashion design and home décor.
I believe art is a self-learning type of subject. I start my lessons off with the basics of art (shapes, definition, form, movement, etc.). From there, I help my students develop any ideas or pieces that they create. I offer my help, to those who need it.
I'm a therapist first, teacher second. Art school is a way of life, and in order to succeed and be prepared for the road ahead, I work with a student's head space first. What makes you happy? Why must you create? Are you mentally prepared for what art school will entail? Once we get you to understand your self, your path to college will become clear.
My lessons are clearly explained step by step. I base my classes on foundation skills, art history and your personal expressive goals.I use a lot of visual examples to learn from and inspire. Progress and successes always happen if you try :) My teen student have won awards and scholarships.
My teaching method offers an understanding of visual composition, color theory, and art movements. My objective is to blend the academia of art with the nurturing of personal exploration and creative fulfillment.
First I usually do a simple assessment to determine a students level . Then I visit a bit to find areas of interest. Then we make a plan of attack to develop those skills necessary for success.
I find that students learn best by instruction, observation, and active application, combined. As such, I make a point to balance lectures with lots of hands-on demonstrations and real-world application, particularly when teaching technical processes. Students also learn by practice and by making mistakes.
I have taught interdisciplinary and multi-culturally at the University level at the University of Montemorelos, Mexico, Indiana University, where I taught Design and Southern University where I taught Drawing I, Drawing II, and the entire Art Education program. I teach using a hands on and down to earth approach and make things fun.
Hello, I have my MFA(Craft), and BFA (Intermedia) as well as 15 years of teaching experience. I offer lessons to elementary aged children, middle school, high school as well as adults. I ask my students what areas of interest they are needing assistance with, what they would like to gain from the lesson, and what areas they would like to push in their Artistic practice.
I think the magic of art comes from loving the practice. If you're not in love with what you're doing then why do it? I would love to help a student think creatively and solve the problems in their life through their artistic practice as well as improving their technical skill.
I build my lesson structures based on my students particular needs and interests. They learn about the context of the practice, work on assignments to help build skill and dream up projects where my student makes what actually interests them.
I teach by each student. I start by assessing what they can do and what they see their goals and aspirations to be. Every person is different and deserves a different approach. Starting small and basic is the core to any subject, then gradually growing and expanding to meet an end goal or demonstration.
My art style is relaxed and aim toward someone who would like to have fun, learn about art/create a school project. Beginner would benefit most, as would those seeking a new hobby.
I have an Art Education BA at the secondary level. I have taught and continue to educate mostly at the Middle School level, however, am more than happy to assist those younger or older wanting to expand the skills they have or simply need an experienced eye for critique.
I give lessons to whoever wants them. Must be at least 8 years old. Children and women also welcomed. My teaching is Socratic, that is one on one. Meaning: sometimes I tell a student "you already know how to do this." I am always watching the hands in proximity to anything sharp.
I am a professional comic book penciler & inker by trade. I am both self taught and art college taught. I've been a professional artist for 37 years. I have also taught here in Buffalo NY cartoon characters courses at the local Hyatts art supplies store. I mostly teach drawing education, digitally using a Cintiq, and in using both Sketchbook Pro & Manga Studio EX-5 programs.
I have mainly given art instruction to middle schoolers. Since I retired from that, I have been instructing art to pre-K through 5th graders. My lessons for instruction are demonstrated through the use of art history (not too much), techniques, use of media (materials) exploration, self-expression, and hands-on activities.
I don't expect you to be like anyone else. I have a knack for working with individuals to help them grow into their own unique style and voice. I will break it down in very specific terms where your work needs improvement and exactly how to go about it. Some of my teaching techniques are traditional and some are more avantgarde, it depends on what the situation and individual require.
