I started sewing when I was 5 years old after I was given a metal red sewing machine for Christmas. I have taken classes as a teenager through high school, learned from older women in my neighborhood and from experience. In recent years I have watched 100s of videos on youtube. My experience alone over the years is enough to warrant the advice and help that I can provide.

I'm 21 and I've been sewing and quilting since I was 15. My mom is a professional seamstress and she is the one who taught me to sew. In high school I made quilts that won blue ribbons at the life stock show and were auctioned off. That's how I was able to save money for college. I absolutely love hand quilting. There's so much room for creative freedom and it's really relaxing.

There is a lot to take in when it comes to designing and constructing a garment and so much information can be confusing which is why I take an approachable approach to teaching. either a one to one session with information and techniques or classes with what you need learning from or a set class with bullet points of goals that will be reached during classes.
I tailor the learning program to suit students with varying skill levels, from beginners to more experienced sewers as well as children. Learning sewing skills is a challenging but fun process. At my lessons, students will learn through projects.
Generally classes are held in good spirits with a cup of tea. For beginners I adapt the technique so that it does not seem complicated and that the result is seen quickly. Regarding people at the intermediate level, it is on the basis of a common pattern that learning is done and that we exchange on our work but also on our daily lives. Beginner level to intermediate level.
