I am trained in the Suzuki piano method and have 5 years experience working with both beginner and advanced Suzuki students. I am a strong sightreader myself, so I incorporate music reading with all of my Suzuki students as well. I believe in a balanced and holistic approach to music instruction.
My teaching methods is I prepared lesson plans and directed students on how to use the piano key board. I also explain how the keyboard work along with how to recognize the keys, rhythm, sound of the music, counting out loud when playing a piano song, teaching them to sing with the music.
I am a junior in high school, but I have had a lot of experience involving music! When it comes to music, I understand that everyone learns a little differently, so I would create an individualized plan based on what would make the student most successful.
My teaching style starts in encouraging ways of introducing the building blocks in becoming a pianist. I like to focus on basic music theory, but also enjoy incorporating music games, interactive piano apps, and other supplemental materials into my students lessons.
I believe students only want to learn what they want to learn for the most part. However, new musicians are happy when they can fully perform a new piece of music regardless of the difficulty. It is important to me to have a student walking out of each lesson with the ability to play a new song/piece. The lessons are guided by what genre piques any given students interest.
I am a passionate music student, i give advice and lessons to struggling people in my class, and to other students who are confused about music (Freshman - Seniors).
After working as a public after-school teacher, as well as in the field of child-care and mentorship since 2004, through my experience, I have found that serving as a role model has become an incredibly effective teaching method.
I have a Bachelor’s degree in music and have had students from 4 years old to adults. My teaching method is catered to each student. Everyone is different and while one method works for some, it might not work for others. My goal is to make each lesson enjoyable and easy for the student.
I have developed my own vocal technique method that shows results even after the first week of training! Besides English, I am fluent in Spanish and Portuguese. I work as a songwriter for Hollywood film and tv series productions. My expertise is teaching contemporary singing.
I am a first year music major at Iowa State University. I am classically trained both vocally and instrumentally with six years of previous instruction. I believe that music can change someone's life, and I want to be able to reach out and help others achieve any goals they may have.
My approach to teaching vocal music is to utilize repertoire that the student is interested in, in order to begin learning healthy vocal technique for that particular style of music. Students can expect to have weekly music theory exercises that we will go over and discuss during a portion of the lesson.
I believe each voice is unique to the individual. I cater each lesson to the student's needs and abilities. Each lesson offers a new technique to singing that is explained, demonstrated then practiced on a song study. The students practice the techniques until they master them.
Disciplines taught : I can teach acoustic, electric or classical guitar and all the techniques to master the instrument and the music theory : Scale, chords, tabs, arpeggios, intervals, modes, harmony, arrangement, score reading. I can also teach songwriting, film scoring, beat making and sound engineering : Certified Pro Tools, Logic Pro X.

Because each student has their own uniqueness to their voice, my teaching methodology varies based on the individual. By listening and paying attention to each of my students different vocal abilities, we identify the key strengths and weaknesses of the voice, and go into catered techniques the singer can use. In my classes, we focus on Pronunciation, Vowels, Pitch, Tone and Quality.
My teaching philosophy is teach to the whole musician and teach the student how to learn, I think it is important no matter the instrument that students gain skills in theory and musicianship as well as understand how to teach themselves in their practice at home.
I predominantly work with teenagers and young adults for auditions to schools, music programs, local and school productions. I use a hands-on approach, having the student work through their piece stopping and starting to find key dramatic elements and make personal and emotional connections.
I was taught multiple genres by more than one singing coach, and I tried to develop the best teaching method that I thought worked best with me and people I’ve taught.
I approach each topic individually based on the student's experience and learning style. I've had some students get things quicker than others which is why I prefer to avoid group settings. I also prefer to work towards students interests. There's always a way to find rudimentary materials in things that are interesting as opposed to running boring drills.
I tailor my teaching technique to fit around the students individual natural strengths and smooth out their sound. There is no “one size fits all” when I comes to vocal training and I’d be cautious of anyone who tries to sell a preset “program”. It’s like the difference between doing an exercise video vs hiring a personal trainer- the voice is a muscle and every Body is different.
I am a young and passionate performer that is willing to help students of any level. I will help by taking your interests as a musician and help guide you to your best ability.
Students will begin each session learning to tune the guitar with a battery operated tuner. The lesson will continue with single note applications easing the finger strength. Both harmony and melody will be taught using notes and later chord structure.
I welcome students and newcomers of all ages and proficiencies seeking to learn more about proper vocal and breath technique, live performance skills, basic music theory, and more. As an instructor, I take a fundamental approach to vocalization in order to lay a strong groundwork for a more directed study in one of the specific styles the student wishes to pursue.
Singing is not about your voice , it is understanding the anatomy of your body that allows you to sing free enough to find your own unique sound. Repetition means nothing if the sound is not genuine to the performer.
I want my students to walk away from our lessons feeling inspired, so I like to build engaging lesson plans that are based around the individual student! The student's favorite music, level of ability, and goals all play an important role in this- Lessons are much more fun when you're learning music that you actually like!
I was classically trained and wish to impart these skills to my students. That being said, many students aren't looking to learn Beethoven or Chopin and would rather focus on contemporary music. My method of teaching is structured around the needs and strengths of each student. I teach students to read sheet music as this skill is invaluable to all other aspects of music.
My teaching style is based on these revolutionary techniques, focusing on retraining and optimising the co-ordination and performance of the body and releasing tension throughout the vocal system to help singers attain their peak singing potential.
