I believe teaching should be fun and engaging. I like to do a lot of play base lessons so that my students grasp concepts easily. Learning should also be at the appropriate developmental level so that students are able to thrive.
I base my classes on every-day experiences, games and literature. I like to get to know my students so I know their interests. Then, I try to connect the lesson’s content with their background, likes and dislikes. This makes it easier for my students to achieve a meaningful learning.
My teaching method is basically communicative and direct, though I like to take strategies that really work from other methodologies. I base my classes on helping students manage their own learning and setting their own objectives. Then I work as a guide for them.
I use visuals when I teach, I also incorporate and activities (kinethetics) which will make learning fun! I am very patient, and intend for the student to have some fun while learning. For example: There will be some flash cards for memorization. Then, there will be an activity, in which the student will use the content that was shown on the flashcards.
Learning Spanish is like aging. There are four basic levels that every learner goes through: A two year old, a four year old, a kid, and an adult.
I believe it is very important to use more than one teaching method, especially since everyone is different and does not learn the same way. I make it a point to get to know my students so that I can incorporate things they like into their lessons. I believe it helps them to feel better connected to each lesson. I also enjoy using humor to get my lessons across to my students.
Is well known that not everybody has the same knowledge, so the first thing I’d like to see is how much you know about this language and then start with simple words and phrases to continue with grammar structures.
I use a communicative and total physical response approach in a contextual manner.
I like to make learning fun with a big focus on communication.
I use different strategies such as collaborative works, brainstorming, collaborative works, questions and awards
