My teaching methodology is very inclusive. I have taught all levels (Kindergarden-adult) and have taught ESL students and students with disabilities. I am an artist so I use creative methods such as visualizations, storytelling, and improvisation to teach English/Writing. I am interested in collaborative learning so I learn as much from the student as they learn from me.
My teaching methodology is dependent on the needs of the student - be it an essay on Jane Eyre or an upcoming SAT - but I strive to give my students specific, easy-to-remember rules that help motivate them to write, eliminate the fear of writing, and unlock their creative potential in the essay format.
My expertise is in successful resume writing. In today's fast paced quick read environment keywords, short concise experience items are the key to writing a successful resume. Having 35 years of marketing copy writing experience going back to the basics of short concise sentence is still the fool proof way to write anything from a resume to a thank you note.
My teaching philosophy is based on my belief that we learn by doing. This has proven most effective in the teaching of writing. We become good writers by reading, analyzing, and imitating in our own distinctive way. To communicate this view to my students, I practice a subjective approach to Composition derived in part from the Reader Response Theory.
My teaching methodology changes per student. No single person learns the same way as another. With that in mind, I cater my teaching strategies to the needs of the person that I am working with.
My name is Rebecca Grober. I have been teaching English/Language Arts and Social Studies at the Middle and High School levels for over 20 years. In addition, I have tutored students privately. I pride myself on being a successful educator by quickly identifying and analyzing the needs of my students.
I focus on enhancing scholar reading skills through assessment, data analysis and strategic response to collected data. Lessons are developed based on an analysis of individual scholar need broken down by SAT domains and dimensions and ACT reading standards.
I provide tutoring in reading and writing for students grades 2-12. Whether your student is struggling with the basics of reading and writing or they're looking to sharpen their writing in preparation for college I can help them develop the skills they'll need for a lifetime of success.
I have a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree from the University of Illinois and Chicago, and I'm certified to teach grades 6-12 English Language Arts. I have a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Spanish from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I studied abroad in Spain for a year! I also completed coursework for two minors: English and cinema studies.
My name is Andrew Kletzien and I am a 23 year old recent graduate of the University of Chicago, where I received my Master's degree in the Social Sciences. I received a Bachelor's in Philosophy and a Bachelor's in Political Science from Loyola Chicago in May of 2015.
I am a qualified teacher of foreign languages - English, German, French, Danish, Ukrainian, and Russian. I am Master of education, a linguist, and polyglot. I have an extensive knowledge of the subjects I teach and would like to share my knowledge with my students. I also obtained a TEFL and TOEFL certificate.
As primarily a college instructor, my teaching method is largely student-oriented, with an emphasis on discussion, workshop and practice. My objective is to meet my students on their level and guide rather than instruct in order to improve upon existing skills.
I graduated from Kelley School of Business at Indiana University Bloomington with a major in finance. I am hoping to help out students who need help in math, english or LSAT prep. I scored in the 99th percentile for my LSAT.
I am a Graduate of Schaumburg High School in Illinois. In my four years, I have been an AP scholar, and taken Honors and AP classes in Math, English and Social Studies. I plan on continuing my education at DePaul University in Economics (BSB) concentrating in Quanatative Economics from the Dreihaus School of Business.
I have a BA from Virginia Tech in Interdisciplinary Studies (Humanities, English, Social Sciences) and a MA from North Carolina State in English. I have been a classroom teacher for over fifteen years and a private tutor for over three. My goal is to provide the support necessary to help you achieve success.
I work with highly motivated students (from middle school to graduate school) challenged by writing assignments, literature classes, and standardized tests (PSAT, SAT, ACT, MAPS, and TOEFL). I provide instruction tailored to each individual, prepare customized worksheets and assignments, and tutor via Skype or in-person.
I don't have a solidified teaching method because I really like to tailor my approaches for each student. I have worked with a lot of different students from various educational backgrounds, so I prefer getting to know them better before determining my teaching approach for their specific needs.
I think one of the most difficult parts of studying for the MCAT is where to start. I will help students with getting the correct study materials, creating a personalized study schedule, and practice test schedule. I will then coach students on how to identify their areas of weakness so that they can maximize strengths and maximize their score potential.
