I am a Harvard undergraduate who has a lot of experience teaching violin to middle and high schoolers. I teach students differently depending on what their goals are–if they want outside help on a piece they're already working on for school/orchestra/etc., I give them exercises to help them work through the piece.
I teach visually and hands on or logically with presentations. I put in lots of work and I'm always willing to learn new ways to teach students.
Bring your own music or learn from my collection of pieces. I can help a variety of students, from children just learning music, to adults interested in learning or relearning violin, or any school-aged student (up to high school) who needs additional help with their orchestral pieces.
Lessons are available for beginner to advanced level violin students. Students will work through violin books that best suite the student and their goals. We will work at the student's pace towards the student's musical goals.

I give lessons to anyone of any age. The levels I mostly teach are beginners to intermediate. I go with students at their own pace. I get to know the people I tutor and their goals. I teach students scales and exercises that help tone, quality, and intonation. I try not to do too much of the same thing repeatedly because I know how overwhelming that can be.

When I was first taught to play the violin I was taught to learn a piece by plucking and then bowing. So that is how I teach. It focuses on the material before the technique, giving each equally important part their own time to shine. I also go through lessons based on individualized practice. We see where your weak points are and work them into strong ones.

The violin literally devours passion to those who begin learning. This passion motivates conscientious and applied study. That being said, the quality of the contact and the relationship between the pupil and the teacher make a crucial difference in favor of private tutoring. This is why I always try to find the encouraging point of view.
My classes are oriented for people who like playing the violin, who want to improve in a pleasant, easy and effective way, understanding what they do and end up standing for themselves with the violin. I combine theory, practice and research/innovation in the classroom.
