I have been teaching since 2004 and have an Ed.M in TESOL. I have taught in the U.S.A. and abroad. I am fluent in Spanish and am also a published writer. I love teaching and love helping my students reach their goals and take advantage of all the opportunities that speaking English has to offer.
My teaching philosophy is based in process writing and student-centered inquiry. I believe in coaching the writing process through a series of drafts that each lead to a complete, compelling final product. I focus my teaching framework and timeline based on meeting the student at the level they presently embody and increase skill sets and overall writing comprehension from there.
I would love to help you learn to perfect your English skills! In working with you. I will communicate with you in setting clear goals and listen to your concerns and questions. Then, we will customize a game plan that will help you achieve those goals, adapting as well go along. Everyone is different, so we'll assess your unique situation in creating lessons that work for your needs.
Individual approach, speaking, listening, grammar, vocabulary, exercises, tests, adapted literature, essays, exam preparation, presentations, games, self esteem up, motivation, professionalism .
My students are adult professionals who want to improve their spoken and written English. My lessons focus on the specific objectives of each student. As a result, they are interesting and my students become fully engaged in the lesson. My students gain the confidence that they seek with their English. Group rates considered. I have 60 hour Bridge TEFL Certificate.
My teaching method is the Present, Practice and Performance Method. (PPP) I use this method interchangeably so students practice learning English in these three ways. The Presentation, is of course, what they will learn; the Practice is practicing what we learned, and Performance is showing and understanding what we learn in each lesson.
I emphasize pronunciation and conversation in a fun learning environment.
Learning through natural conversation. I work on auditory comprehension, pronunciation, and confidence in your speaking abilities. Learn vocabulary related to your interests when we talk about pop culture, current events, travel, whatever you like. Every class is tailored to the goals of the student and focused on increasing fluency.
My teaching method is mainly conversational as I believe this is one of the best ways to learn. We can also work through any grammar concepts you may be struggling with. I have lots of experience helping people understand difficult grammar concepts. In addition, we will work on important vocabulary and phrases you can use when talking to English speakers.
I am patient, creative and friendly. Many of my students tell me that I explain concepts more effectively than their teachers. I am available weekdays or weekends, days or nights, throughout the entire year. In addition to teaching in person, I also use Skype, FaceTime, Google Hangouts, Appear.in, interactive whiteboards, attachments (PDF, Word, Excel), and Slack, a remote desktop program.
My teaching method is to know the student's purpose of learning English. Based on this, I will be able to make lesson plans, interesting activities and conversations. If there is a certain field in English that you want to improve, for example sentence structure, tenses, general grammar or any others, we will do it together! Be always motivated and aspirated.
I focus on conversational and oral expression but also can help improve your reading comprehension. I will help you loosen up and get rid of your shyness and start speaking, boosting your confidence. I believe in learning by doing, and there is no better way to learn a language than start speaking it since minute one.
My teaching methods are determined by the students, in that I find younger students or those with weaker skills require a more structured classroom. Those students that are are college-aged, recent grads or early professionals tend to receive a more curated approach, one that seeks to administer to their experience, goals and weak points.
i approach each topic ways that the students can understand and ways of the students can understand their own way of understanding. I give the basic ways , methods of how to quickly start speaking the language someone is learning.
I am the author/producer of 30+ non-fiction books and and also am a retired professor of International Management for the University of Texas at Dallas. I will help you improve your proficiency in written English using learning methods & tools that are directly relevant to your business and professional objectives.
The lessons are based on the individuals current understanding of English, and it will be inclusive of: both English and Portuguese, what to expect if you were to go to United States, common situations/phrases, college level tutoring, and practice conversations in English, all of which will be adapted to the students needs and interests.
My teaching method is PPP (Present/Practice/Produce). Presentation is where I present the language target, then followed by Practice. This is where I model the target language and guide the students in using it. The last stage is production stage. This is where the student uses the target language independently, and the last stage is giving feedback or corrections.
I love helping professionals feel confident and happy expressing clear thoughts and emotions in writing, and without an accent. First, in a fun question & answer session, we identify your goals and priorities. That way, we swiftly shape the class to your specific needs.
I am committed to delivering high-quality, individualized instruction. I assess students and then create informed lessons to best help them improve their skills. For writing and reading lessons, I include phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, comprehension, spelling, and vocabulary for students that need structured, systematic lessons.
I constantly focus on the student's needs and desires. Ongoing diagnosis and personalized prescription for the student provides for highly individualized and rapid progress. I allow each student to focus on his areas of concern, I then coach him.
I like to focus on pronunciation while I'm teaching and my students have told me that they appreciate that very much. Whether I'm teaching grammar or conversational English, I feel that correcting any and all types of pronunciation problems is critical to the learning process.
No one student is like the other. I have basic curriculum that I have developed for each type of English lesson I teach (conversation, business English, test prep). But, I have left room to fit my curriculum to each individual student.
These days the emphasis of foreign and second language instruction is on learning to use the new or target language in conversations and oral presentations.
Using all forms of art, predominantly visual and theatre-based I approach every lesson by understanding the student(s) goals and creating personalized lesson plans that each student an opportunity to experience the learning more organically and to be instrumental in the entire learning progress.
My methods are always have fun while we work but you’ll learn while we work. You will honestly never be bored. I work well with children and adults alike and I have lessons for both. Have a happy lesson and learn with a smile.
I teach students by inspiring their interest, passion and capability potential based on their current academic level. I can also discover their strength, advantages, gifts and talents and I always encourage students to reach their potential to the maximum in their life.
Particularly with English, I hope to give my students a space to talk freely so that they can become comfortable with conversing with English natives. Of course, working on grammar and reviewing texts/writing is important but I try to emphasize speaking fluency. How I approach other subjects is really up to the student.
I mainly tutor students from 1st grade to 8th grade. Although, I have not had the chance to tutor high school students or older, but if given the chance I will be delighted to have the experience of tutoring anyone.
I am a kind, patient fairly easy going teacher. I can help beginner to advanced students. I will have students talk to get an idea of their level, then use worksheets, reading passages, topics to help them learn the language.
I approach each lesson by first allowing the student to explain what they already know and what they expect to learn. From there, I design a customized plan based on the student's specific needs. I try to engage students and make sure their questions are answered sufficiently by the end of the lesson.
