My students are adult professionals who want to improve their spoken and written English. My lessons focus on the specific objectives of each student. As a result, they are interesting and my students become fully engaged in the lesson. My students gain the confidence that they seek with their English. Group rates considered. I have 60 hour Bridge TEFL Certificate.
I utilize direct teaching and facilitated learning in tandem to deliver proficiency-based instruction to my students, both secondary students and adults. My goal is to assist you in understanding that languages can only be learned, not taught. What is practiced outside of the tutoring session is just as important as the material that I will present to my students.
My teaching method : as follows The Demonstration method the brainstorming method,The lecture method the orally speaking method
My teaching methods are determined by the students, in that I find younger students or those with weaker skills require a more structured classroom. Those students that are are college-aged, recent grads or early professionals tend to receive a more curated approach, one that seeks to administer to their experience, goals and weak points.
i approach each topic ways that the students can understand and ways of the students can understand their own way of understanding. I give the basic ways , methods of how to quickly start speaking the language someone is learning.
I am the author/producer of 30+ non-fiction books and and also am a retired professor of International Management for the University of Texas at Dallas. I will help you improve your proficiency in written English using learning methods & tools that are directly relevant to your business and professional objectives.
My teaching method is PPP (Present/Practice/Produce). Presentation is where I present the language target, then followed by Practice. This is where I model the target language and guide the students in using it. The last stage is production stage. This is where the student uses the target language independently, and the last stage is giving feedback or corrections.
I love helping professionals feel confident and happy expressing clear thoughts and emotions in writing, and without an accent. First, in a fun question & answer session, we identify your goals and priorities. That way, we swiftly shape the class to your specific needs.
I like to focus on pronunciation while I'm teaching and my students have told me that they appreciate that very much. Whether I'm teaching grammar or conversational English, I feel that correcting any and all types of pronunciation problems is critical to the learning process.
My methods are always have fun while we work but you’ll learn while we work. You will honestly never be bored. I work well with children and adults alike and I have lessons for both. Have a happy lesson and learn with a smile.
My methodology absolutely begins with the individual student--his/her specific history concerns, hopes, and goals. After speaking with the student (via Skype or in person) and discussing these issues and the student's schedule, and (generally) giving the student a test to assess his/her level, I create a general plan that the student changes, if needed, and then approves.
I mainly tutor students from 1st grade to 8th grade. Although, I have not had the chance to tutor high school students or older, but if given the chance I will be delighted to have the experience of tutoring anyone.
I use a variety of teaching methods depending upon my initial assessment of my student's English speaking, reading and writing ability. It also depends upon what the student tells me what they want to learn e.g. vocabulary, writing, comprehension etc. I use a student centric approach and believe that learning my doing is far superior to learning by memorization.
I have been teaching in colleges, language centers and online since 2005. I design interesting, effective lessons for my students. We have fun learning. We can specialize in: - Listening (stories, news, job interviews, etc.) - Speaking (phones, small talk, business English, etc.) - Reading (news stories, job advertisements, etc.) - Writing (e-mail, job applications, Facebook, etc.
I do a free evaluation with each student before creating lessons personalized specifically based on the evaluation. I create your lessons based on what you want to focus on, your level of English, and your preferred learning style. My main goal is to have the student produce as much language as possible. That means the student will be doing the most speaking, reading, and writing.
Mainly 1-2 hour lessons Objectives: Review vocabulary: parts of body, where to go to find something (type of store, where in store) Review grammar: command forms of verbs (“Take two aspirin every morning”) New vocabulary: ways to describe illness and methods of remedying it New grammar: giving advice “I would recommend” + [verb+ing] Activities: Introduction: quick review of parts
This would be extremely interactive and engaging. At the students pace however, still challenging the student to raise their level and abilities based on my analysis during each lesson.
My teaching method is based on communicative competence and on integrated learning and teaching. I believe in integrating vocabulary, grammar, reading and writing into my lessons, in relevant settings or units for my students. I am a communicator and have the ability to make sure my students understand and learn using only English and sometimes using role play, visual and audio props.
I do a great job at mediating lessons and ensuring the student has ample talk time to practice whatever we are studying. I will work with the student to set clear goals and provide an achievable, structured curriculum that we can work through together.
What made my classes so popular was that the students told me the situations that they wanted to use English in, and we simply recreated those situations. I found a great online program you would use with me that puts us in whatever scenario you want. So even if we're online, we can still interact in the situation you want. We're just going to keep using English in the way you want.
I teach English using the last ESL teaching methodologies and approaches, such as Task-based language learning and critical approaches. This way, my students learn English through meaningful tasks. I always plan my lessons taking into consideration my students' interests and needs.
Teaching is a passion. Out of passion flows ideas and creativity. Out of passion flows the desire to impact and influence the lives of the students that we encounter and students who come across our paths. Out of passion flows the deep interest to dig out the skills and talents that lie beneath the core of the students.
My teaching methods have been said to be very fun, energetic and to sum it up kinesthetic. I take the first meeting with student as a pre curser to my lesson structure for him/her. I then base my plan off of that.
I base my classes on repetition and following the rubric. First by outlining, organizing, and following the prompt if needed. Everyone can write, however, getting what's on your mind across to others is no easy task. I can help.
I take notice of every student's individual nuances: their attitude, their energy, their likes and their dislikes. I use this information to better assist them in meeting the goals that they or their parents have. When it comes to tutoring I simply prefer a more individualized approach.
I base my classes on learner-based outcomes, which means I pay attention to the unique aspects of each class that I teach. I encourage discussion and peer-to-peer interaction and practice. That is the best way to understand and learn any language--practicing with those who understand what you are going through. I encourage students to not be afraid to make a mistake.
I am a speech-language pathologist who has been practicing for a year. I have extensive practicum experiences with students with language-based learning disabilities, as well as other diagnoses that impede their learning such as ADHD, anxiety, dyslexia and pragmatic challenges. I can provide lessons to students of all ages with any sort of learning or language difficulties.
My teaching philosophy is patience, guidance, encouragement, and respect are the ways to achieve academic success. As an educator, my goal is to ensure that every student has a learning environment where they feel optimistic, enthusiastic and supported. Also, I believe in keeping each tutoring session professional and confidential with mutual respect and collaboration between tutor and the student.
I have a B.A. in French Literature from Loyola University of Chicago. I give lessons in English and French to middle school, high school and college level students. As for my methodology, I teach students proper pronunciation of words, correct grammar and correct sentence structure. I assist them in actually thinking in English and French.
