My teaching methodology varies by student. I identify key strengths and weaknesses of each particular singer using techniques from classical training as well as benchmarks for skills I have identified as specific to mixed voice singing. I take this approach because each singer has different abilities and personalities, which are both strong factors to consider in developing their mixed voice.
I teach how your voice works, what moves, hot to move it, how to do it in a healthy way and how to add color to your expression. It doesn't matter if you a singer, actor or any other kind of voice user.

It’s hard to objectively assess your sound when your instrument is part of your body. Think about the difference between how you think you sound and what you hear when you listen to a recording of your voice.
One of my main goals for my students is to impart to them a deeper understanding of vocal technique, as well as methods for implementing that technique into any genre of singing they choose. I'm fortunate that my own voice is extremely versatile and flexible, so I can help students with many different styles.
I want to help you develop your voice rather than make you sound like and specific artist or genre. I will give you the tools to help you sing the healthy way. I sit with you and find out the goal that you want and see how we can get you there.
