Rather than acquire a one month TTC as is the norm I have just returned to Australia after living in Mysore, India for the past two years. In this time I have studied with several Yoga masters (namely BNS Iyengar, Yogacharya Sachidananda, Yogacharya Vinay Kumar and AtmaVikasa). In have attained sufficient knowledge and experience to teach what I have learnt.
My Yoga sessions usually have a mix of sitting, standing, prone and supine asanas based on the group and its energy in that particular session with focus on breath and a guided Shavasana or Yoga Nidra with Om chanting at the end. I chant Mantras, so as to utilise the vibrational benefits for the participants and Pranayama is taught regularly too.
my teaching method mostly comprises of vinyasa. i concentrate on a lot of breathing and stretching of the tiniest muscles in the body. my practice helps in body posture correction and alignment. As well as to build endurance in the individual. it's a program that i choose according to the persons need.
I base my classes on the style of yoga I am teaching e.g. yin, vinyasa flow , prenatal yoga, etc..
I follow Sivananda style of Yoga. Sivananda is a lineage and not a "type" of Yoga. Sivananda Yoga is a classical and holistic approach to Hatha Yoga that stretches and tones the whole body. Sivananda Yoga is a complete healing system designed to help the body maintain a natural healthy state.
I like to create an atmosphere that allows people to be themselves. To me, Yoga is not just to stretch or earn flexibility, it more than that. A true yoga is the search for a worldview that actually bring people happiness. Everyone can do Yoga, with the right practice and people around you, you will feel amazing on and off of your mat.
I am a very passionate 22 year old yoga teacher, finding yoga at the age of 15 it allowed me to create ease in my mind and feel free in my body. My classes are slower paced, with a special focus on alignment, breath and meditation.
