I am a passionate college student planning to pursue a career in education. I have experience tutoring high school students, and I am able to tutor students in regular coursework and essay-writing in addition to studying for AP Tests. I work one-on-one with students, at first determining their areas of most and least confidence, and then using this to guide the focus of lessons -- whether a student needs help mastering grammar, has difficulty structuring and formulating an essay, or needs more practice speaking Spanish. I aim to push students, empowering them to think critically while also being a supportive presence from whom they can always ask for help. I am dedicating my career to Spanish and English, and I am excited for the opportunity to foster a love for these subjects.
I am a Comparative Literature major/Popular Music Studies minor in the process of earning my Bachelor's degree at the University of Southern California. In my total year of working with three students, I have provided in depth academic support in English, Spanish, French, and History. I am fluent in Spanish and I am currently taking university classes in Spanish Literature. I have experience studying for AP Tests and the Spanish SAT Subject Test.
