I got my bachelor's degree in Neuroscience with a minor in philosophy and medical sciences. I am graduating with my master's degree this spring and I am attending Kentucky College of Medicine in the fall. My method includes visually teaching the students so they learn better, as well as having them explain to me at the end of the lesson what they learned which will help the material stick in their long-term memory rather their short-term memory. I make sure the students can teach the material back to me which ensures me they understand. We have fun with the lessons by using pictures and coloring which also helps the material stick!
I have been tutoring kids and peers since high school (over 5 years). My students really enjoy my teaching style because they end up learning the subject instead of memorizing. I have also mastered study skills so I advise my students to try specific study tactics depending on the subject, and results have shown that they do much better.
My rates vary depending on the age of the student. Ages K-12 I will charge $/h 19.00 if the student is out of high school my rate is $/h 22.00. This is due to the extra time I would have to prepare material for the older students.

Lulu was a phenomenal tutor for my little brother. He is 10 years old and has difficulties keeping focus. Lulu was very patient and understanding. She was able to get his grades up to A's. Very happy with her service and would recommend her to everyone.
Alaa and I are classmates in a master's program at Northwestern University. She is both an eager and enthusiastic learner and teacher. Alaa is cheerful with her students and is able to effectively break down complex concepts into simple terms. She is patient and is skilled in tailoring her teaching methods to the individual learning styles of her students.
Alaa has been my colleague for the last year. She is great at understanding material and complex topics and explaining them thoroughly. She has a background in science and has a great understanding of topics in this area. I would highly recommend her as a tutor because she is patient and can relate well to others.
