My teaching methodology is grounded, mainly, in andragogical models which emphasize self-reliance and self-guidance. I am here to serve as a source of motivation and structural knowledge with the ultimate goal of allowing my students to master core concepts which they can use to guide their every day behaviors. A large percentage of what I teach is grounded in behavioral science and not necessarily nutrition itself. This allows us to focus on learning how to retrain ourselves so we can then achieve goals and milestones more easily across many areas of one's life.
I have a master's degree in health education and a bachelor's degree in nutrition science. I have experience teaching in both classroom and 1-on-1 settings. My clients, or perhaps students, typically see lasting results due to the format I use to impart self-sustaining knowledge to help guide decisions and behavior rather than simply prescribing meal plans and impractical dietary restrictions.
