I structure my methods around the student; first I get to know what they’re interests and goals are, then I give a brief series of questions to determine where they are at in their education. From there, I guide them through a concise explanation of the material they either know or will likely not utilize as much, while giving a much more thorough explanation of material they will likely need to know or want to know given their goals. Special attention is also given to topics that they met not use later, but that serve as a building block for later information as needed.
I have completed the requirements for a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Mathematics from University of North Texas (UNT), and have almost completed a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Physics. Additionally, I have privately tutored for 8 years, including students at Colorado School of Mines. I have also tutored and graded for the Math Department at UNT, while also tutoring for a local company called “All A’s tutoring.”
Andrew has helped me with numerous math courses throughout my collegiate career. He is extremely patient and is super reliable! He is a one of a kind tutor.
Andrew really knows his stuff. He is a math genius and has the patience of a saint. Definitely worth more than the lessons cost. I can’t recommend him enough.
I have known Andrew for years. We attended university together for two years in Colorado, where he not only helped me with my math and science schoolwork but helped me raise my letter grades in several courses just by giving me different perspectives for the subjects. His knowledge in math and science is unrivaled, and his ability to find a way to teach that suits an individual's specific needs is something that every teacher, professor, and tutor can learn from. Whether he is going over a lesson plan, coming up with practice problems, or constructing one of his goofy, yet memorable ways/devices to make the knowledge stick, Andrew will help you learn anything and everything you need, provided you give your full dedication.
