Meteorology PhD with over 15 years Programming Experience offering Java, C++, HTML, FORTRAN etc

Methodology

I welcome students of any age and background to explore computer programming in a "blended learning" style lesson. This style combines jumping in and writing programs with a more traditional lecture.

As a tutor/instructor my first priority is that ALL members of a given course are given the tools they need to keep up.

Background

I have a PhD in Meteorology, a science that requires extensive knowledge and success in computer programming, website, and model building. I have been teaching and tutoring thousands of students in various related subjects since 2006. During this time I've received both departmental and University wide awards for student satisfaction. Students often thank me for explaining technical or complicated topics in an understandable manner -- a skill I picked up during my time researching best practices in education.
