My approach in teaching is first having a discussion with the student to see where they lie skill wise and to establish what their goals in the class are to help work towards those goals. After which I like to jump right into projects that incorporate the skills and techniques being worked on. I think it's a lot more interesting for the student to jump right into a project. Even if the output may not be great initially, it creates great engagement and a sense of wonderment around the subject!
I am a current second year student working towards a degree in computer science at Wayne State University! I try to incorporate art (whether it be image editing, writing, photography, drawing) whenever I can in my daily life, it's a subject I'd like to continue evolving & improving in.
