I work to help students strengthen their French language and their knowledge of Francophonie. Any student could work with me (from Elementary to College and beyond). My method is based on the best textbooks and combines the learning of vocabulary and the fundamental grammar / conjugation in a rigorous manner, but also the discovering of Francophone cultures, History & Geography of countries & regions of French speaking Europe, North America, Africa as well as the overseas territories. I have great resources to help learn quick and improve your understanding, speaking, writing and reading in French. I also use online resources including but not limited to YouTube videos, TV & radio news, movies...
I am a native French speaker and I've been leaving in the US since over 20 years. I studied in France where I earned a PhD in History and I taught more than 20 years in the Chicago area mostly in various schools (including the French International School). I currently teach French Language & Francophone Cultures in a private school in Evanston (I taught French I to AP). I am certified (PEL from ISBE) in both French and Social Studies. I have experience teaching in diverse school settings (public & private, French & American). I am patient, helpful and I master very well my subject.
