Depending on the students' need, I will try to frame my lesson structure differently. For conversational-focused students I would base my lesson on real conversation, starting from the basic phrases depending on the student's level of proficiency. I would also use Mandarin tv shows, movies, songs as supplement material.
For students who want to learn professional Mandarin, I would start with teaching basic sentence structure, how the individual Chinese characters work to form a vocabulary. For advanced learners I would give them some books to read to try to level up their reading and writing skills.
