I enjoy tutoring students and helping them understand topics that they have weaknesses in. Nothing satisfies me more than helping others improve themselves and their grades.
I can teach math ranging from pre-algebra up to pre-calculus and general biology (IB HL Bio). I'm proficient in Reading and Writing which are two of my favorite subjects.
I have been tutoring students since I was in the eighth grade in middle school. I taught fellow students in different subjects, such as pre-algebra, algebra I, algebra honors, algebra II, trigonometry, geometry, physical sciences, earth science, reading, language composition, and writing.
I continued tutoring all throughout high school, teaching middle and other high school students. Now as a third-year college student at the University of Florida, I continue to tutor local middle/high school students. I have taught students in academically advanced programs such as the International Baccalaureate Program and Cambridge Program.
My students have all seen results after tutoring sessions. Grades have improved by a whole letter grade, or even two (usually from C-student becomes a B-student, or even to an A-student if they are dedicated enough to learning). Not only have grades improved, my students have developed a better understanding of the lessons, assignments, and overall subject.
My rates vary based on the subjects and the level of the subject. It will range from $30/hour to $45/hour. I can travel up to 10 miles away for an additional $5.
Jessica really takes the time to explain everything in detail. She makes sure that you understand the lesson before moving on. She doesn't hesitate in explaining something to me over and over again if I didn't get it the first time. Jessica is really patient, friendly, and dedicated to teaching others.
