I like to first get an idea about a student's ability to tackle HW or Problem Set. Afterwards, the aim is to develop a strategy of how to approach problems and highlight similarities between problems and their solutions. If it seems that a student is not understanding some concept I like to take a step back and review the topic. I am more than happy to accommodate particular goals e.g. passing a final exam.
I have a bachelor degree in Economics and Mathematics from NYU and I am currently studying graduate Economics at Northwestern. I took various undergraduate classes in Math and have a solid understanding of some more advanced fields e.g. Real Analysis. I have teaching experience form TA-ing an undergraduate Economics course and teaching a course in Economics at a high school in the Czech Republic and tutoring high-school Maths.
