I have my Masters in Music Performance from the University of Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. Prior to having two wonderful children in 2000, I performed extensively with all the major performance groups in Kansas City as well as live radio in Cincinnati, and special events in New York Cincinnati in Kansas City. I have been a featured soloist with the Kansas City Symphony, and the Kansas City Camerata, and the New Ear ensemble.
My experiences include being a soloist with the Kansas City symphony, performing on live radio in Cincinnati, performing in major theater performances and Kansas City, attending by addition mini master classes throughout the United States with the steamed international instructors, performing as a chamber musician for special events for many years, starting up a new music group still very active, teaching at Pittsburg State and the UMKC Conservatory, performing as a soloist at many different venues throughout the cities including New York and Cincinnati, teaching students as young as three and as old as 81, and much more!
My focus as a people- person is helping students achieve their goals. Without goals progress is very hard to identify and fulfillment very limited. My greatest joy is the success of my students. My specific lesson focal point Is on tone quality and good basics. Having an instrument in great working condition and essential tools like practice time, new music, metronome (free online) and tuner is necessary. Regularity of lessons is crucial to see progress. Lessons are possible online though in-person is necessary some of the time for things like duets etc.
