I tailor my teaching to suit individual needs and learning styles, but always with the aim of making learning fun, and developing academic confidence. I encourage students to develop strategies for breaking down information and forming responses or arguments. These are transferable skills that can be used in interview and exam situations, but are also are important for developing a life-long positive approach to learning, and when encountering new and difficult information.
My main motivation is encouraging students to discover the excitement of learning. I really enjoy helping others to develop confidence and realise their goals, and the dialogue between myself, the student and the subject is what makes tutoring so rewarding.
I am an Oxford University graduate with both classroom and individual teaching experience. I am currently a secondary school Art Teacher and practising Artist. My academic background makes me well suited to help with essay writing, exam and interview preparation, and guidance on University applications, as well as practical and theoretical mentoring in creative disciplines. I can also tutor French to GCSE level; I was marked 100% in my A Level Oral Exam and A* at GCSE, and won the 6th form French Prize at my school.
