Music is a beautiful combination of the two hemispheres of the brain (I know this isn't real science but take it for metaphor's sake). There is math and perfection of rhythms and harmonies within music, but these patterns mean very little without the creativity of the mind inspiring it to move in certain ways. Thus, my lessons would focus on this in-between; it is important to learn the fundamentals properly, but you must understand what you can do with them. Practical application is important for true appreciation of the art.

Though I can teach mallets as well, i do not have a mallet instrument to teach with. Comfortably teach to an intermediate level.
