PhD candidate offering lessons in Biology in the Greater Springfield, MA region.

Methodology

My name is Priya and I am currently finish up on my PhD from UMass Medical School. I graduated with Honors in Biology from Mount Holyoke College in 2009. I have been teaching and mentoring since 2008 and more recently I have an Adjunct Position at Becker College teaching Anatomy and Physiology. I am trained in teaching science at the college level and I am familiar with various learning styles and have the ability to tailor my teaching to different learning style. The primary goal for me is to keep students interested and excited in Biology.

Background

I have taught at the high school, college and graduate level. I have designed science courses at Bancroft high school and have taught 20+ students. At the College level, I lecture in front of packed lecture halls on regular basis. I have also worked with a smaller number of PhD students and instructed them in scientific writing and analysis. I also have been mentoring since 2008 and have helped students with college applications/essay and interviews.
